Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

I don't think that everything that came with the BP set is so far fetched :dunno

Remi, captive bolt, detonator. I'd imagine he can squeeze the coin in too

Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

The Briefcase, don't forget the briefcase. That oldschool case is great!

Given that the outfit is pretty straight forward, I'd say the extra accessories will make up for the pricepoint.

Bolt gun and Remi w/surpressor are essential but I'll take the transponder tracker if that's all that's going to be offered extra.

I hope Rainman pays attention to the Belt Anton is wearing. I think it will bring out the outfit tremendously!

i agree with you that the two mediums were both used well by each. and i too love them equally. i dont know whether the coens meant it distinclty one way over the other, but i think its brilliant the way that it invites interpretation.

I've seen that theory and actually like it, but in the end it would be inconsistent to the rest of the film the Coen brothers gave us. This was one of the rare occasions where I like the book and film equally and for different reasons. I don't think you can capture McCarthy's prose on film and I think the Coen's knew that.

Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

Blondie is one that we all know moves at that price...but i've seen Wonka go for $600...Doc $500....Pee Wee around $700 since it just released. Which is why lately i have just been viewing instead of buying....I mean you can't find Blondie or the Dude anywhere for sale...but right now as we speak...Doc is up for bid on ebay.....Beto no doubt...he shouldn't even be in the subject because all of his figures have wowed the hell out of me...but this one is a pass for me....its something Denny can for much less....just my opinion

Please tell me where you saw Wonka go for 600 bucks! It took me months to track mine down and I can assure you its cost me more than 600. I was on this forum night and day and saw 2 for sale the whole time I was looking not 1 anywhere near as low as 600

Maybe a clothing set... but not a full set. He's not the brightest bulb.

Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

At lunch I was thinking about this figure, and I might have to go after it. Not sure I can pass on a high end Coen Brothers-based character, even one that isn't my favorite. Dammit.

Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

Then again, this is the same guy who likes Martin Lawrence films and raves about super-hero flicks. Plainview is a WOW masterpiece from Rainman. That film is an american classic, and DDL's performance is epic. But that sort of film and performance is way above his head.

You pay for what you get, home-boy. That Dexter you put together was cheap, and it looks it. The other bashes I have seen you put out there... look dated and cheap. If that's your thing...

Rainman's solo works are art. No denying their beauty. Denny's pieces are priced lowered for various reasons; and based on recent releases and that qualms about 'em... we see why.

Dude for real? First i don't care if the figure looks cheap...its in my collection now yours. Another SSF **** can't just view someone's opinion and go with it.....
Yeah Turbo....i'll find a Blondie one day....not anytime soon but i will

Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

Great post! It's disrespectful to come into an artists' thread about his work and talk about pricing... you don't like, don't buy. It's Rainman's thread, not Denny Kim's or whether you want a crappy Martin Lawrence or 1/6th Lamborghini. :monkey4

Its not disrespecting anything...no one trashed his work....plus its a free country which i'm allowed to speak my opinion if you don't like it....ignore it. You are the one being disrespectful homie....but i'm not sweating it...nothing else that happens on here.....

Full set....not the DX....it went from $800 to start and went down to $600....again nothing is being said about Rainman's work...a different opinion on characters. If Jack paid attention i asked Denny Kim about a Bad Boys set....not Rainman....their work is completely different. Kid...

Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

Never takes long in a rainman thread. :lol

My bad @Snake Eater bro....i'm the type that expresses my opinion on a lot...not just collecting....but a lot of topics. Nothing was meant that Rainman's work is not up to par because i'm searching for some of his characters as we speak. Its just the few characters that have came out haven't really wowed me...and that is me alone. So the rants about my kitbash or whatever Jackie said could keep that to himself.....but whatever....continue on about the figure....I'm out.

Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

Just got a thank you email from Rainman for providing him with detailed pics of the accurate screen used gun. Said it will help him tremendously!! So stoked for this! Fingers crossed!!:yess::clap:hi5:

Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

Just watched this excellent movie thoroughly enjoyed it. Anton is a very cool yet sadistic cold character and can see exactly why RM has picked him. Doubt I'll be in for him doesn't mean enough to me to drop $800-1000 on him. Really looking forward to seeing some WIP pics and delighted for all those who have been asking for him.

Re: Rainmans New Project: 'No Country Killer'

This is another one of those movies I didn't entirely like, because of the pace of the movie. Very boring at times, but I fell in love with the Anton character just like I did with Bill in GONY. GONY was rather slow too, but damn DDL was awesome in that movie.

I am interested in this figure and for those questioning why Rainman chose this. Check Rainman's Top Ten wishlist I compiled. A small number of fellow freaks submitted a top ten rainman wishlist and Anton beat out Jack, Bickle, Bateman, and the Pikey.

I'll get another top ten going in a month or two just like I did during Plainview. With Bateman and Anton off the list there will be all new top ten's I am sure.

I want to thank Laney for tweaking the excel workbook I originally created and it should be easier to compile everyone's top ten now. Bickle or Jack could be next or some other figure from out of left field, but submit your top tens when the time comes.

The power is in the numbers and I would like to think it wasn't a coincidence Rainman chose Anton. I also don't find it a coincidence that Iminime picked Bateman, who was also at the top of everyone's Rainman wishlist.

How was it boring for you? It literally had me on the edge of my sit the whole time. I feel like I was in the scene with the character when all the action was goin down :horror:panic:

I'm very entertained by this movie, and I must say it is probably amongst the top 10 best movie on my list. But that said, I dont think I can afford to buy it, this time around.
