My one bid was $2180 and I felt that was about right. I didn't stay up to see the results. Didn't want the temptation of making a higher bid :lol

The only thing that bothers me is I offered the seller $2000, but he wanted to see the auction through to the end. So after its all said and done the seller gets $1,978 dollars after paying EBAY and Paypal fees.

So having said that I am done looking for a DX Wonka.
Congrats if someone in here grabbed him :)

I regret selling mine (car repairs)
I really thought there would be 1 or 2 bidders one this one. Wouldn't you know it. It would turn out to be the most valuable.

If anyone has a head/ outfit set they want to sell, maybe down the road let me know.

Or, what about trying to get Rainman to make a small run?

I'm not sure how I'd feel if Rainman started making more figures of " numbered " limited sold out past pieces. The rarity is part of the reason for the price I'd imagine and it's certainly one of the reasons I'm willing to pay so much for each release and I'm saying this as somebody who doesn't own a Wonka.

I hope he continues to cap the edition numbers at 30-35. I fear that the quality of the figures may drop with an increase in production as 30-35 sculpts is alot of paintwork for one man to do before we start to see signs of fatigue sometimes evident in the loss of detail in the paintwork.

His most valuable still remains Bill, with private secondary sales of $3,000. There are many members who can confirm this, so if you have a Bill hold onto it. Highly coveted!

He will never raise the edition size more than that. He understands the value of keeping the numbers low :wink1:
