Crazy Sauce only for guys who own it and want to keep speculating on a price they would be willing to sell it for... honestly no one can put a secondary value on a figure. It all depends on how much someone is willing to shell out. See what happened to the Enterbay EtD Bruce Lee version B... people bought and sold a mass produced figure like that for crazy prices like $700 and all 2/3 years and more after its release... and suddenly with time around a year back the hype went away in the aftermarket and now even those who held back selling because the price wasnt high enough cant get rid of it...

There will come a time when people will need to sell it for funds... and if the price is too crazy there will be no takers...

Axe, do you own any Rainman figures yourself? Have you had any experience selling in the secondary market? Please share your experience with us. People have spent $5,000, $10,000 on vintage posters, Vintage Sneakers, Comics.....why would this one particular item be any different? I think you make a serious mistake classifying custommade figures by these Top Artists (Rainman, Beto) with a mass produced corporate product like your Bruce figure, and I can speak on this because I actually own a Arnie Kim friends and family ETD Bruce, personally gifted to me by him.

theyre around. and depending on how importsnt it is for you to get a full set or another option will determine the price you pay. for me, i just wanted the figure, didnt matter if it was a full set and managed to find a head and clothing set put together for a really great price. a full set will likely cost you. but it's a beautiful piece no matter which version you get.

did you not manage to grab a painted sculpt off the recent sale? someone posted they were letting theirs go snd i told them you wanted one. i forget who it was now but check the rainman restock thread.

the wonka figure is beautiful. think that's on my next most wanted list. like eagle eye, hard to come by. but even more than eagle eye it's completely unbashable. think i will be looking for a while.

never really seen rain man's Butcher...but now you a-holes have got my collecting/hording bug up...how hard are these to come around in the secondary market?

The thought had crossed my mind was contemplating asking Rainman but doubt I'd get a response since he is so busy atm.

Well if it is the prototype you got the 1st wonka of its kind the daddy of them all ;)

The proto had the worst jacket of them all.
That certificate looks suspect. I'd be careful, 0/0 doesn't make any sense.

I doubt I'd be that lucky lol would be good if Shorty, Teddy or Snake could ask the man himself as the chance of me getting a response is not great.

That's what I thought but the rest of the figure it came with is perfect. The Wonka is identical to the one I already own and the Oompa is legit. Box is right, full sized golden ticket the works...

The cert is a match also, same paper, same DX logo, same sig, same hand writing it has me very confused

Did it come with a crushed velvet jacket? If so than that's the proto. The handwriting is legit though, I compared it to mine and everything looks proper.

Nah the jacket is the way it should be its identical to my fullset in everyway. I've compared the 2 Wonka Certs I have and the couple of others I have from other figures they all match up Sig and hand writing wise

It could be one offered after the DX editions were released. This release was kind of handled funny. There was some "funny business" going on with it especially the oompa. So the certificates may not really be entirely accurate.

Would that potentially mean there may be more than 15 DX sets floating about? The guy I got it from is apparently a VIP member and doesn't know much about it just that's what arrived from Rainman. He's gonna try and get in touch with him see if he can find out what it is.

I think that was the case. The demand was very high for the Wonka Oompa combo so Rainman may have accommodated a few more before he capped it off. Same thing happened with Pee Wee. It says 30 on the certificate, but I believe less were made. I wouldn't open a can of worms over this, it's still Wonka and Oompa and still genuine Rainman as rare as Dinosaur Fossil so just congrats and enjoy it.
