I think that was the case. The demand was very high for the Wonka Oompa combo so Rainman may have accommodated a few more before he capped it off. Same thing happened with Pee Wee. It says 30 on the certificate, but I believe less were made. I wouldn't open a can of worms over this, it's still Wonka and Oompa and still genuine Rainman as rare as Dinosaur Fossil so just congrats and enjoy it.

I'm not particularly bothered about it tbh just interested to find out why it said 0/0 is all. Makes no difference to me if there's 15, 25 or 40 of them out there it's still a grail piece for me and I am ecstatic I finally own Wonka with Oompa

didnt that wonka dx on ebay go for over 2k? think thats slightly more than the highest bill price i've heard of. people say 3k for bill and i'm not saying he won't but i dont know if any sale at that number has happened yet. last i heard the asking was about 2 for bill.
it's like how someone quoted me over 2k for alex delarge, saying they had balked at a 2k offer and asking me to beat it. but i didnt go for it and neither did the person who originally offered the 2k. so does that mean the price of delarge is 2500? not really, it's just what the guy wanted for it.
as to which is the best rm fig, i dont know which i would vote for. i wanted bill more. but wonka is such a sick piece. and with the dx oompa, it's a tough call. definitely think they are the top two.

(1 Question
Has any other piece sold for more than Bill?

This doesnt make it better, we all have our preference but it determines the demand. So....has any other single figure Sold for more?

The highest price that's well known was $2500 for Bill. No other Rainman figure has sold for higher, to my knowledge. This price was months ago and it was what kinda started the trend for these figures as of recent memory. I'm not in the market to sell Bill but if someone were to put it up on eBay, then maybe the value can be determined better for it. $3000+ offers have been made for it, however an offer is just an offer not a sale. We'll just have to see if someone decides to fold and sell theirs.

Who are you trying to kid?:lol That's all you've been doing since you started your Butcher vs. Wonka thing. That, and we know you.:lol

Well that was all in fun, but I'm a betting man so if you want to put Somthing up that the Public agrees that Butchers his best work, then let's get it on!

Bill is a grail for me, but Wonka is great too, so is the Dude. I wish I could own them all but unfortunately I have to pick and choose. I'm guessing you didnt get Bill, because you'd be singing a different tune. Am I wrong?

You are.
The thing is, I've never said one is better than the other. I dare you to find a post where I wrote that. I'm just amused at the big deal you make in your fight to crown Bill as the winner.

My good friend ShortRound used to own Bill, so I had many chances to inspect it, pose it and admire Rainman's wonderful work. As a matter of fact, if I had the chance to buy one right now, I would. But to say it's better than Wonka.... I don't know man, I think I like them both the same. Or maybe depending on the mood I might like one more than the other. (Funny that you mention the Dude. Just a few days ago I took out my Dude figure from the display case and was appreciating how well done it is. I even think it's up there with bill and wonka).

I don't need the public to validate my purchases, so a poll is futile. Oh and I don't really bet that much. ;)

:peace

:lol Most of the time it's all subjective....except for Bill. Hands down the Best Work the man has done. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind about that either. I didn't lead the charge on this, that sculpt is so good he decided to use it Twice! :lol

I'm hopeful that will change when he decides to do Bickle.

Thanks Teddy :) good to know

Did you win that eBay auction?

I really need to invest in some quality glass shelving

Yup, Thanks to Mags. I call him Don Magnus because he's been a big brother to me with advice, opened up alot of eyes (to MANY people in fact) has helped me get my collection started again after a long hiatus, and has always managed to keep the hobby fresh even when it felt boring at times. I almost passed on Wonka, Mags shook some sense into me. That video seems like ages ago! :clap

Those duel oompas are a great look!
