Thankfully when George does the next version of the films, likely a big boxset, the new version of TPM will be included with the new CGI Yoda.

Exactly. But heres the thing, the quality of every OT movie is of higher standard than the PT combined. Only on top of that do they have the nostalgia factor.

Thankfully when George does the next version of the films, likely a big boxset, the new version of TPM will be included with the new CGI Yoda.

I don't think even a new Yoda can make up for Jake Lloyd. The 2nd worst kid actor ever behind Edward Furlong.

it's called teen angst. and a young dark lord would probably whine a lot and listen to Linkin Park. so, i'd say Anakin was perfect.

I'm still burnt out on the PT, but not all of the OT was great, either. TESB is thrilling throughout the Hoth scenes, but then it drags along through the second half. The Falcon-chasing and Bespin are just boring. Endor is a bore - even the main actors themselves look like they just wanna wrap things up and go home. I don't blame the Ewoks for this.

No way. ROTJ was lame as hell as far as star wars goes. Ewoks and Boba Fett getting beat down by a blind guy??? Let's see the Phantom Menace atleast had Darth Maul (can you say bad ass??) And Qui Gon is one of my favorite Jedi. ROTS is was absolutely awesome! I don't care about the nostalgia or anything else. The Prequals are all moives I watch on a reg basis with my son, just like the original trilogy.:maul

ANH for me is a funny creature. I realize all the elements of one of the greatest movies ever are there...and yet, sometimes it just feels too slow. It also lacks a lot of moral depth--it's pretty straightforward good vs. evil. And then there's the added point that ANH doesn't become uber-meaningful until you realize that Luke is walking the same path that Vader did when he was younger but making different decisions. Some of my ambivalence about ANH might also come from having grown up with only ESB and ROTJ taped off TV. By the time I finally saw ANH, which was still years before the prequels, I didn't really consider it an essential part of the trilogy because I had never had it before. I also remember thinking when I first saw ANH as a kid: "Wow, Luke and his friends are a lot more fun when old Obi-Wan isn't slowing them down."

Link Park music goes with theme though the videos work, and work well for most of them.

I don't listen to LP to piss my parents off. I listen to them because I enjoy them, it's great lifting music. How does this topic get to be about LP again? Bottom line is that the PT kind of sucked.

Ok I can stand ewoks more than Jar Jar. So wait, because ROTJ had two bad things in a great movie. And the TPM has two cool things: Darth Maul and Qui-Gon in a crappy movie, that makes TPM better? LOL. The PT is seriously flawed. I mean the fact alone of little Anakin and the acting in the PT and TPM alone kills it right off the bat. Not to mention the over reliance on CGI and the crap that we got such as midichlorians, Yoda with sideburns, etc.

Qui-Gon may have been cool but he was unneeded. Darth Maul looked cool but had very little screen time and speaking parts, a lost cause.


ROTJ has slave Leia, Jedi Luke, and speeder bikes. By those three factors alone it beats out all PT movies combined. Throw in the Emperor, AT-ST, the Rancor, Jabba the Hutt, the end duel between Vader & Luke, and Vader revealed and it smashes them all.

I am not a big SW fanboy. As a casual fan I am only really intrigued by the Anakin/Vader story. Thus:
