Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Anna Karenina 5.5/10

Beautiful costumes - but that's about it. I have enjoyed the previous works by the director and Knightley in Pride & Prejudice and Atonement, so I was looking forward to seeing this. Sadly, it was a disappointment. It was a rather interesting decision to have much of the film appear on a stage with revolving backdrops/props...though to be honest, I really don't think it worked well. Though very stylish the story itself was dull and disjointed. Even the acting of the talented stars could not save this movie from being a big dud.

Argo 9.5/10

Now this was a great movie. Wonderful script, acting, directing, cinematography. I love how it felt like a movie made 30+ years ago. The attention to detail was very well done. It had some great funny moments as well as lots of suspense. Such an incredibly crazy story that it amazes me that it is not only true but was a success. Really enjoyed this and I found myself caring for all the characters. I was cheering with the CIA and everyone else as they learned of the successful escape. Big props to Affleck....he's really come a long, long way and as a director is making some damn good movies.

Bcoz of completely idiotic script :lol
Not even remotely close to the original great novel.

Red Heat (1988) - 6/10

It has a lot of potential but failed badly.

Yes the script was a disaster. This was a horrible attempt to turn a classic into something arty with an over stylized production and a minimalist script and set. Interesting concept - but ultimately a complete failure on every level - (except the costuming).

Skyfall - 7/10

Finally caught this, it was pretty good but not the second coming. CR was better imo.

So glad M is finally out, I never cared for Dench in the role. Fiennes could be interesting. Hated Q. Money Penny as a field agent felt really weird. I do like the more old school direction they seem to be heading though.

How many of these is Craig signed up for, 2 more?
