A Clockwork Orange - 9.9/10

In regards to all that above i guess Teddy feels some movies are made to tell a story (Django, Taxi Driver ect..) whereas others are made just to earn money :dunno

Yes, something like that. I guess I just presumed that if he can't appreciate Django, then Avengers was probably more his cup of tea?

I don't feel compelled to go into great lengths as to why I would make that assumption.

Let me guess, you loved Avengers? That was a 10/10 for you :dunno

Well, you have guessed wrong. I'm not really a Marvel fan and the only reason I watched The Avengers is because I had seen Iron Man and enjoyed it - haven't seen any of the other movies about Thor, Captain America etc and I thought the film was poor; with a heavy reliance on CGI, it was created just to make money.

I don't have a specific movie taste; my collection is varied and contains Die Hard to Lord of the Rings to 500 Days of Summer. Go figure.

I like Tarantino and enjoy his films but I just couldn't wait for Django to end.

Please don't. Because that's just lame. I posted something longer, but edited because I don't feel like being totally nasty.

Point is....The Avengers is a great film. It's film history. ****ting on it is just a ****ty thing to do.

Texas Chainsaw 3D. 2/10
Complete garbage. Painful acting, horrible casting, hole filled plot, unrealistic timeline, and just over a hard movie to even finish. Really disappointed.

Django Unchained:7/10

Enjoyed this one, but it should have ended an act sooner.

The shoot out at Candy Land should have played out differently and have him get away with his wife then. The last act just seemed to much and not needed. It made the film to long.

It's still very good. I'll definitely see it again.

Yep. Biggest problem with that movie is the shoddy middle act, which segways into a shoddy, yet satisfying ending.

It's a really good movie. But it's just not my favorite QT flick.

Star Trek Into Darkness ... 9/10. Well done. Gave all the major characters plenty to work with ... which is actually unusual for a Trek movie. The TNG movies became far too much of a Picard/Data thing ... and this had the potential of becoming too much Kirk/Spock only. But, it resisted the temptation ... and set aside some great stuff for Bones, Scottie, Sulu, Uhura and Chekov.

Plot was compelling from beginning to end. I liked how they dealt with Kirk's inexperience right out-of-the-gate like that. I liked Harrison better than Nero. Pine has quite a few of Shatner's Kirk mannerisms down, without doing an impression. Karl Urban's Bones is still my favorite of the group.

Can't decide if its better than the first. Maybe so. I'll give it time before declaring it so.
