Thor 2: The Dark World - 6/10

The ending ruined the entire movie for me. And I didn't walk in to watch a chick flick.

LOL I love the last sentence of this post. Hilarious! I am seeing it tomorrow and hope I walk out of it appreciating it more than you did. I almost want to forgo from the average movie-goer's mentality, of seeing the big over hyped blockbuster franchise.... Rather I may want to go see another potential gem, 12 Years a Slave, which will probably be something that stays with you much longer than some sequel of a guy dressed up in tights, wielding a hammer.

After Rush and Prisoners this was a Buzzkill.

Overall the movie really lacked substance from what Thor was. Odin could have had a meatier role especially since I loved the way they portrayed him in the first movie. He's reduced to nothing in this outing. Pathetic!

Though I appreciate the humor thrown in, it was overdone and unnecessary at times. Thankfully the CG didn't suck like the Avengers forest fight so that's where they got a 6. It wouldn't have been worth my time to rate them had they put together a shoddy(ier) job.

Seeing the kind of movies you enjoy, I'm sceptical of you appreciating this one.

It's good to see good movies.

It's bad to act snobby. See everything.

We're the Millers - 7/10 had some pretty good laughs, more than I expected.

Furious 6 - 5/10 I think perhaps since I watched it at home and not at the big screen, this made very little impact on me in terms of action. I know for certain if I had gone to see this while it was out, I'd have been more impressed. But at home, it was like a congregation of the worst actors ever.

Grown Ups 2 - 4
/10 Man you think bringing together this many comics would yield some pretty great ***** but obviously it's a sequel to a "family" film so what did I expect? Had some laughs but most were cheap jokes. I expect better from these guys.

Star Trek:
Search for Spock / Voyage Home / Final Frontier - 7/10

. . .

It's hard to rate something so true to original series yet so NOT good as a stand alone movie.
I enjoyed them a lot for what they were.
Also hated what they did with Chekov in TOS so non-offensive jokes around him in VH took me by surprise.

Are you looking for the Nuclear wessells? :monkey3

So because in my country it's a National Holiday, among also being my Birthday, Thor 2 had sold out and 12 Years a Slave was playing way too late for me and my friend, so we decided to take in Ender's Game. Well, so much for those being my choices....

It was alright. it followed Rush, so yeah... It was meh...

6.5

^ I watched Shadow of the Vampire, with John Malkovich. I enjoyed it. Fun little film. I love movies that explore film history....even if it's a rather skewed version of history. :lol

Dafoe was great. Loved Cary Elwis' entrance.
