Escape Plan - 7,5/10

Suddenly good...
Plot may seem predictable but kept me in suspense until the very end. Great shooting overall, modern techniques works well in close space and adds to atmosphere - something that can rarely be seen nowadays. Humor nicely dilutes the tension. And HOLY **** that cast is awesome!

Some CGI was completely unnecessary. Secondary storyline with "sidekicks" wasn't involved in the plot thus a waste of time it is, plus sitting through 50Cent's attempts in acting was painfull... thk God his on-screen seconds can be counted on the fingers of one hand. The final third was too damn long and felt like an inappropriate mix of old action movies with all these firing, slow-mo and cliche which sharply contrast with the rest.

Anyway I didn't expect anything and was pleasantly surprised, do not regret the money spent and 115 minutes of life :lol

I should see Mama then.

You should. Good movie.

btw Laugh as you may, but I love John Carter of Mars. Such a good movie. I never grow tired of it, and I love Lynn Collins. What a gorgeous specimen she is.

I know I love it because every time they show it on television I watch the entire thing through. Not many films have that kind of power over me.

Same. I've seen it numerous times and still like it. Great movie.

John Carter got a lot of undeserved hate for no good reason, I like it a lot as well.

Noah thread: -10/10

:lol:lol:rotfl

The hunger games, catching fire: 80

Surprisingly good, the 1st one was a big yawn fest for me, didn't care for any of the characters, this one was the complete opposite, I was cheering and booing, the end scene was just a hell of a performance by Jennifer Lawrence.

I'm excited for the 3rd one.

HG Catching Fire: 6.5/10 - I never completed the first film but the family loved the book series and they enjoyed the first film. I thought it was a decent flick overall......

Every movie has flaws and/or loopholes of some kind.
I just could not overlook the ones on the first film.
I can wait to watch the sequel when it's free. :)

John Carpenter night!

Halloween:7/10
Christine:8/10

I know christine is not considered one of Carpenter's best, but i think it's up there.

The Conjuring - 7.5/10

Slow burn pacing, but satisfying if you're into haunted house flicks. Those who aren't will probably be bored.

The Neverending Story - 9/10

Haven't seen this in ages, and man, does it ever hold up.
