Jurassic Park - 10/10 How the hell do we go from thinking this was a good movie, to thinking that other new one is a good movie? Like 71% good
15 minutes in, JP already had 3 times more personality and character than the entirety of JW, hell, it had a stronger theme than JW at that point, ****ing Grant getting 2 female ends of a seat belt? Tying them up together, "life finds a way"?.
****ing dinner table debate on the ethics of genetics? All that **** even before the action started.
Ian Malcolm, what a ****ing rockstar.
The whole "I hate kids but now I like them" actually makes sense here, like everything else they regurgitated on JW.
Impressive how the CGI holds up so well, look even better than the prequel trilogy and even movies that came out later, it doesn't look wonky today and if it ever gets to look outdated, well it doesn't matter, cause it has a mattress of actual substance to fall on, every single thing happening on screen is more captivating and truly entertaining than the "best" scene in average CGI JW.
I could go on and on on how great this movie is, why the hell do we have to settle for Bay-tier stuff now? Inb4 "B-but w-we weren't expecting it to be better than t-the original".
Hell, I watched Independence day the other day and it's also waaay better than JW and most summer blockbusters these days.
God I'm starting to feel old
I might not give Jurassic Park a 10 but I agree with everything else you've said here. Tried to rep you for it.
I also never noticed the symbolism of the belt buckle scene.
