Straight Outta Compton - 8/10

Some inaccuracies (some due to time constraints but others were just flat out wrong) but overall it's the best "rap" movie I've ever seen. A lot of nostalgic moments for me. Enjoyed it.

"A Nightmare On Elm Street" (remake) -- steaming pile / 10

I got an hour in, then had enough. I like Jackie Earle Hayley fine, but not in this. The movie is pointless.

Turned it off & watched some news instead.

I saw the NOES blue ray box set yesterday at Walmart and started thinking if I should make the purchase. I have them all on individual DVD’s. Wondering if I should double dip. Like many of you I am a sucker for double dips and upgrades to blue rays. It was $30 CAN

Ex-Machina: 9/10 I could nit pick, but as a whole I was hypnotized...

Avatar (Extended Cut): 7/10 The recut is much better IMO. Watched this mainly for my daughter to see it and it instantly became her favorite movie. She's watched it at least 6 times in the last few days.

It Follows: 8/10 Loved it. Simple premise, but goes to show the influence direction has on a film.

The stupid it Follows movie was filmed in my damn neighborhood and looked stupid as hell are u guys watching the same lame film of someone slowly not scarey walking at u in a parking garage ??? horrible n lame ass movie.

Coulda bought this blind for $13 on Blu but that's a lot to spend on something I might dislike. Really need to seek this out. I've heard nothing but good things.

This is one of the worst movies I've ever endured. May I ask how old your daughter is? Don't get the appeal of this one....

Definitely check it out. It's one of those movies that sticks in your mind for a while after watching it.

She's 7.

Ah. The age I thought Stargate, Congo, and Waterworld were the greatest movies ever since Indiana Jones. A good age to watch movies! The only things I didn't like back then were "slow and boring" pictures that you can't appreciate until you're older. Hope Cameron gets around to making those sequels while she still loves it.

if you allow them to, kids can help you revert back to a happier place in general.
They def teach you to not think too much about things that don't really matter.
