Star Trek: First Contact - 3.5/5

The movie has a lot of fan-service for TNG, with many of the actors reprising their respected roles. It also brought a fairly decent conclusion to Picard's internal struggles with the Borg. Patrick Stewart delivers a few powerful lines, that'll stay with you after watching the movie.

Price of Persia (2010) - 3/5

This was somewhat of a movie adaptation of the video game for the PS2. Except the ending was much happier, by comparison. CGI was used a bit too liberally for some scenes, but the acting was fairly decent. Great costume designs, too.

Sicario: 7/10

It was good, but not great. Very strong performances all around, and lovely cinematography. The music was GREAT—more ambient, dissonant kind of thing, which I think worked perfectly. I liked the slower, more deliberate pace. But overall I didn’t find the story all that compelling. It was fine, but nothing special to really elevate the movie to a higher level.

And the director is doing Blade Runner 2. I can see that. I think he’ll do a good job.

The Sound of Music - 8/10 Musicals can be tough to watch for me lol, but I like this one.

Chi-Raq LOL/10 - Just terrible. Spike Lee is getting worse and worse. That said Nick Cannon, believe it or not, was great in this and the only reason to watch this movie.

Yojimbo 8/10
