Deadpool - 6.75/10

It was decent, but way overrated IMO. Some funny moments, but not as funny as I expected. I think the love for this movie is a product of some weird groupthink. I don't think the sequel will work for the audience as well as this seemed to, only so many 4th wall breaking, "clever" comments they can make before the jokes get a little old. Jokes seemed pretty obvious and predictable to me, feel like I could have written this movie, and that's not a compliment.

I almost blind bought it, but got a code to watch it on Cinemanow in my email for free, glad I saved some money.

I liked it, just think its really overrated.

You nailed it, incredibly overrated, half of the dialogue is retarded, and the plot is stupid.

But it's DP so it's ok, the other half of the dialogue is pretty good, and the action is great.

It was a weird meme phenomenon of people pretending to be deadpool fans, the movie itself catering to the lowest common denominator of DP "fans", and a great marketing campaign.

I also like it, because it's deadpool, but that **** is a 6 for me, a 6.5 if I'm in a good mood.

The Equalizer: 6/10

With Denzel. I had some nitpicks, but overall an okay super ex-military killing machine revenge movie in the vein of Taken and John Wick.

Enemy: ???/10

Honestly... I don't what the hell I just watched. I've scoured for theories, but they range from "it's all a metaphor" to "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"... I mean, it's wel acted, well directed and really unsettling, but... again, I don't know what the **** I just got done watching...

Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid - 10/10

Great movie. :duff

Good points. I liked the fight scenes and the interaction with Colossus and Negasonic but the villain was weak and the origin story could've been more succinct.

The Boy - 61/100.

You did better than me, I think I turned it off after 30 minutes.

Managed to make it through F4, wasn't the abomination of Cinema I came to expect, nothing special either. The first hour was ok, the last half hour was pretty bad.

So, this rating seems appropriate...

Fantastic 4 - 4/10

I think diminished expectations plus lack of exposure to the comic book (or caring about it) go a long way. Doom looked pretty bad though, and the end battle was tedious and made little sense. I didn't totally hate it though, but I'm not likely to ever watch it again.

Well, I did scour Reddit (for all of, like, 5 minutes), and I did find a cool little explaination:

-The real person is Adam, who's a boring teacher, so he creates a "dupe" that is an actor, has a hot affair, etc, etc.
-When his mother tells him to drop acting because of his respectable job, she's talking about his teaching one.
-When his wife asks him how was school, she didn't find out that the "dupe" came home, she's just asking the "real" one, about his day at work, but decides to drop it when he doesn't respond, as she knows he's kinda... not all there.
-The movie is told not in a chronological order, with the car-crash happening before the movie's events, and that's where the scar comes from.
-The final shot with the spider retreating, is his wife understanding that he's "fallen down the rabbit hole" again, and kinda being afraid of him, hence why he looks relieved in a way.

That, or the spiders are aliens and it's an Invasion-type movie...

You did better than me, I think I turned it off after 30 minutes.

Well, I'm not much for horror so I did think about that when it started getting too "nuts", but I stuck with it. Am I glad? Eh, honestly, I don't know. It's a weird film. I've seen other "slow moving" flicks as well, but that was... "different", in a way.

Deadpool - 8/10 Jokes are a little forced "a la Ted"...just crude to be crude. I did however really like it.
