I wasn't entirely sure Calvin would survive, figured they would do an Alien and flush it to space.

But I was absolutely sure Jake Gyllenhaal would be the only one to survive when they introduced him and he was the lonesome veteran who didn't like earth and didn't want to come back down. The 2 pod sequence didn't fool me for a second, in fact that was just another flag :lol

I didn't know anything about it either, I mean, I knew it came out but it was just kinda there, and I was in the mood for sci-fi and went for it.

Haha, it fooled me up to a point. It only dawned on me when the pod hit the water and they didn't immediately cut to the girl safe and sound inside as would have been expected. I was surprised that Gyllenhaal was still alive though, what was Calvin doing with him if not killing him?

I have no idea, looked like a sort of hive thing from Aliens.

I hated the bad ending for the girl, not because it was bad, but because being lost in space spinning and **** is gut wrenching to imagine for me, Gravity was a hard watch for the same reason, I was cringing the entire time.

In fact, all the deaths and mauling in the movie were more shocking to me than Covenant's deaths, and they're a lot less gory, shock value alone means nothing

The Great Wall - 6.5/10

You really need to shut off your brain for this one. Decent action movie, pretty to look at, but kinda dumb.

Matt Damon schools the Chinese on how to fight, kind of funny considering China is renowned for some of the greatest fighting techniques in the world, but hey, it's Matt Damon, and Matt Damon is very popular in China.

Monsters make no sense, but they are cool to look at.

Siege tactics make no sense, but again, fun to look at.

Watched two movies recently:
Keeping up with the Joneses.
It was alright, as a Galifianakis fan I wouldn't say it's his best work.
Other movie was How to Marry a Millionaire for Marilyn Monroe.
I Didn't think it'd be funny but I was surprised, really enjoyable for a 90 minute movie.

The Loved One - 5/10 Not sure if this was supposed to be offensive in it's time like they say, but it was pretty boring overall.
Tough Guys - 7.5/10 Not high art but it was a lot of fun seeing 2 of my favorite actors of all time together on the screen.

Cars 3 6/10. Typical disney movie.
The short film called Lou made me cry like a ***** at the end.

Cars 3 made me hate the second half of the movie.
