It was good, but I think it was overhyped. I wasn’t expecting a masterpiece, but it was a little bit more shallow than I thought it would be based on the initial reviews and reactions. I thought it would be a little more incisive or clever in its whole racial social commentary thing, but it really didn’t amount to much. But I think maybe people and critics overstated that aspect of the movie.

Yes same with mother maybe i prejudged i just thought Jennifer felt bit out her league with rest of cast and moved too slow for my taste. I'll try give it a go when im up to it. I'm just on my halloween horror binge and mother didnt fit with my horror binge to me.

Creepy villain, a creepy mood overall, and it did have ****s for a second, but otherwise pretty damn lackluster. Particularly from a director with that much talent.
