This is exactly how I feel about this POS!!! It was so cheesy and shameful!! :exactly:

Ya know, there was one scene in this whole movie that, had TLJ been built around what the feeling of this scene was suppose to get across to the audience, would have made TLJ a great SW film. But since this scene was in the context of this movie, even it fell absolutely flat with me.

When R2replayed Leia's message. That would have made a great film had the feeling of that scene been the backbone of the movie.

The Last Jedi: 8.5 or 9/10

Really enjoyed it. If I had one complaint it would be that I actually would have liked a little more Rey in it!

Right on, now gear up and come join the growing resistance against the mass hysteria that hates this film, lol.

:lol

I'm aware that there is MUCH hate with the movie (even just seeing the ratings in this thread), so I'm staying out of the movie thread!

Really liked the movie though! I'll put it at #4 on my SW movie list, just under TFA (like, only a quarter of a point or half a point lower) which I thought had a little more charm in their characters.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - 6/10

Hadn't watched it in a while. I don't hate this one like most but every time I watch it again I feel like I gain nothing. Some good Jack/Barbossa material, a cool intro for Blackbeard, but that's about it.

The Lazarus Effect - 6.5/10

Pottersville - 5/10

The New Daughter - 4/10

The Last Jedi (second viewing) - 4.5/10

TLJ 1/10 Plot holes, poor character development, pointless side missions, waste of the most epic sci fi character of all time... all in all it's a total hot mess.

I mean kinda dramatic score....

I mean I can understand not liking it.....but 1/10...........sounds like all objectivity is lost....

nope, that's how bad I thought it was. Nearly walked out of the theater a few times, but kept hoping for some kind of redemption which never came. but you're welcome to your opinion and I'll stick to mine :)

Respect....but is that a Star Wars rating
Or overall movie rating....

If it’s the latter I think you should see a lot more movies......

Gojira - 10/10

Monty Python and the Holy Grail - 10/10

Terminator 2 (full) - 10/10

Star Whores: The Last Jerk - 2/10

TLJ: after two viewings 6/10. I found more to enjoy than to dislike however; the stuff I disliked was so bad it pulled me away from the film at times.

True score is 5/10 however; I’m trying remain optimistic since the trilogy isn’t finished and it could wind up setting up VIIII beautifully.

I’m changing to a 9/ 10.....with all nonsense following this movie it has transcended cinema making it a true masterpiece...

Kidos to Disney and Kennedy for the magnificent insight to a larger world...not many films can lie claim to such a feat

The Last Jedi - 4/10

I'll accept and even applaud bold new ideas as long as they are properly earned within the film, fan service be damned. And that's just the problem here. I wasn't offended by what Disney have done. In fact, I felt nothing at all because the film provides absolutely no reason to care.

Every significant moment -- and there are many on paper -- is unearned, hollow, and devoid of real consequence. Every conflict and subsequent solution is the result of lazy, convenient, and illogical writing riddled with holes. Every character an empty shell relying on their legacy from previous films to garner sympathy in this one as they are taken apart and diluted without proper thought.

Put simply: a lot happens in The Last Jedi, but none of it feels like it matters, its twists, shocks, and characters wasted.

Hamfisted garbage pretentiously and non-academically pushed by shills.

A recap of my scores for the Disney-era Star Wars films for context:

The Force Awakens - 7/10

Rogue One - 8/10
