DOFP is a good first time experience, and that's it. I just can't get into it a second time.

I tend to like X1 more than X2, but it ain't by much. It's mostly due to what a **** head Jackman was in it, which is more in tune with Logan's abrasive personality. I still think the whole cage fight to him cutting the shotgun in half is the best segment in the history of CBMs.

I still remember seeing him pop the claws out to the guys throat, and they made the snikt so deafening that it startled you in the theater.

X2 is damn good, and it's one of like five sequels that truly feels like it's in the same world as the previous film if that makes sense. I know **** Singer did both, but it's very hard to replicate the feel like that.

Yeah I get exactly what you're saying, I give X2 the edge just for the story and exactly that, feeling like it takes place in the same world as the first. They just expanded on everything better. The mansion attack is great (too bad they couldn't go full Logan at the time but it still holds up to this day) along with the opening scene with nightcrawler, just great stuff. I'm more of a Magneto fan as well, so that may be why I enjoy the 2nd a bit more. X2 is probably only bested for sequels probably by The Dark Knight. IMO

DOFP is one you definitely have to be in the mood for. Just like Logan, they are good films by I tend to doze off in the middle. :lol

X2 is the best way to escalate a story without it being too overblown. It didn't try to eclipse the previous film, just reasonably increase the plot.

I do like some of DOFP, and to a degree I thought Logan was decent. I just find both have a lot of underutilization of time within them. More so with Logan. I think on paper the plot is fine, I just feel the middle of it felt like a chore. DOFP is a more toned down film with the action garbage that was in X3, but I feel it was too subdued.

I think what they did with Magneto was good in DOFP, but then it's just repeated again in Apoop. Derp Peenex is going to be a bomb.

Yeah, about 30 minutes could be trimmed from Logan honestly. Don't even get me started on Apocalypse. My god that movie is horrible. It was on HBO a while back and I caught it, I just don't see what the point of that entire movie was besides making X bald. :lol

I hope this new X-Men set in the 90's is good or I might be done with the franchise for a while. X,X2, FC, DOFP and Logan are good enough for me. Oh, and Deadpool, I liked the first hopefully the second is fun too.

This nails it :lol

I liked DP, it was fun. Although, I think DP2 will bomb. But I certainly don't want it to.

Yeah, I hope it doesn't bomb. I'm liking the trailers and stuff but that only gets so far, Deadpool is another film that is great the first few times you watch it, but because of the humor rewatches dwindle. Maybe it's an X-Men franchise problem at this point, though I'd argue it's most movies nowadays.

Brolin does look good as Cable though, and I'm glad they didn't change the suit.

I just wish he was taller. Cable is supposed to tower over Wade. Although I don't mind the design of his look, I just think his rifle is a cluster ****. They took a bunch of real world rifles and glued them together.

Dolls: 5/10

I remember seeing the tape for this at the local VHS rental place growing up as a kid. The case looks much more terrifying than the actual movie. Pretty major step down from ReAnimator. Some decent special effects, but a pretty by the numbers horror movie with some lame kills. Odd sentamentalism, as well.

Jumanji 2: 6/10

Thought this was pretty dull, the trailer looked fun too bad it wasn't.

Transformers: 7/10

Haven't seen this one in a while, easy entertainment.

Brawl in Cell Block 99: 6.75/10

It was good, but I liked Bone Tomahawk (the writer/director's previous movie) better. Brutal brutal violence in BICB99. That last shot in the movie was a pretty terrible effect but yet had a low budget charm to it. I'll also warn that he doesn't get to jail til like more than halfway through the movie.
