Captain America: Winter Soldier 9/10

I am going back and rewatching the MCU films and OH MY GOD I forgot what a meticulously crafted film this was! With the somewhat bloated films coming out now in the MCU, WS reminded me that the best films are the character driven stories where our hero is driven by doing the right thing even when their support system shatters and everything they believed is turned upside down.
Captain America is my favorite MCU hero and this film was the beginning of that realization for me.

That's an excellent movie! Intense, ongoing, and always fascinating! :)

Vice. Christian bale the chamelon actor and great performance by full cast. I just dont do political movie's interesting story but left me even more confuzed as to 911 story. I dont know what to rate it other then plain entertaining movie to watch once n done.

It was painfully obvious it was made by a Democrat. Not neutral by a long shot. But, Bale is one of the best actors out there.

Finally watched venom don't get the hype this movie had...I watched it in 2 sittings stopped the first one 20 minutes in cause I found it so boring....Tom hardys Eddie Brock was horrible found him all around cringe worth especially his accent

Creed II (2018) - 8.5/10

Now that's how you close out a ****ing series.

Is it the end? Don't believe it :lol

I would have preferred a movie that focused on Drago and his son.

I still liked the film a lot but I found the Creed and Rocky scenes to be less interesting then the Drago and Son subplot. I thought that had more emotional impact.

Given that that's something I was really hoping for I find it a happy complaint. As soon as I heard they were bringing back Drago I thought it was a great idea and an opportunity to make him human in a way that could even retroactively enhance Rocky IV.

I said to my friend after the film it would have been cool to have told this same story from Drago and his son's point of view and have Creed and Rocky be the Glorified cameo. They would never do that of course but it would have been cool. What they did do was great though.

I don't know if anything can save Rocky IV for me. Perhaps if they redo the score and put Bill Conti's music back in.

Yes Rocky's scenes were definitely more supporting than usual (including the first Creed) and I too was more into the Creed/Drago Jr. and Ivan/Drago Jr. scenes as well, but holy hell did I freaking *love* those two latter dynamics.

And when

Drago threw in the towel to save his boy
I about damn near lost it, lol.

Freaking *fantastic* old-fashioned feel good filmmaking. Thank God I caught this one before it was gone from theaters for good.

Also despite Rocky IV being the most cheesy and superhero-ish of the series compared to the Oscar caliber first two it's still always been my favorite. So Creed II being so connected to that film really went a long way for me.

I loved Rocky IV when I first saw it.. But it aged bad quickly... Its almost all music videos :lol

Like I said though I think if Bill Conti's music was in it.. Oh boy would I like it a lot more.

I 100% agree with you on your point you have in your spoilers... Freaking great moment. Loved watching them run together at the end also. Great stuff.

Bring on the Drago spin off.
