Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Watched Avatar tonight. On a visual and aural level, 10/10. Great looking movie, great sound, excellent blu-ray. On a cinematic level, maybe 7/10. The movie was at least 30 minutes too long - that first 80 minutes is long and drawn out beyond belief. Yes, it looks great - but it's just one long scene to show off the special effects. No plot, no character development, but it's saved in the last 60 minutes by the action.

The movie was ALL character development....

And the action stuff was more like 25 minutes....where did you get 60 minutes from? :lol

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Date Night- 2/10 How dreadful was this, shall I count the ways... nope, it's not worth even thinking about it again, a criminal waste of some reasonable comic talent!

Dead Mans Shoes- 8.5/10 An underseen gem, and a cult classic that is gaining momentum. If you haven't seen this DO SO!

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

It's not an adaptation of a TZ episode, it's an adaptation of a short story by the great Richard Matheson. They also adapted it into a TZ episode.

And yes, the movie sucks mucho.

Yeah, what he said. :D

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Bride Wars: 2/10

Yeah I took my wife to see this last Sunday .............. I was too embarrassed to rate it. It was a very poorly made film. A few giggles but overall ............... just bad. Also agreed, a big waste of comic talent.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Observe and Report was genius. Really great dark comedy.

yeah i loved it too. but i can see how it probably isn't everyone's cup of cha. definitely an acquired taste kind of movie - one of those that skates a fine line between being utter crap in some people's eyes and hilarious in others. i will definitely be watching this one again.

3:10 to Yuma -- 10/10. Among the best westerns out there. Very well done. "For a one-legged farmer, he's one tough sonnuva_____".

Face/Off -- 8/10. Solid action flick. Great gunfights. Suspension of disbelief required. (just remembered I actually reviewed this yesterday. Nonetheless, the review stands).

Phone Booth -- 7/10. Not bad. A little slow. Too much Farrell, not enough Sutherland.

Appaloosa, 3:10 To Yuma, and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford are three of the best westerns in a long time. I love watching any of the three at any time.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

The Losers - 6/10 - Was good not great. Some decent action with some decent funny parts. Felt too much like a made for TV movie. And some similarity to The A-team. The cast was good though.

Date Night - 3/10 - Meh. Tina Fey is not funny, I don't see why everyone sucks her vegejay. The boat part was funny and Marky Mark was good in it, but blah movie.
