Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Salt --- 7/10. Really good movie with some of my favorite stars in the cast. But IMO it was just a gender reversed Bourne movie. Intense hand to hand fight scenes paired with over the top stuntwork combined with a shifty plot.

Doctor Who Season 1= 6/10

It was good....really out dated tho. And the stories weren't that great. I really started to like Eccleton tho....then he changed into Tennant. :[

Lets see how those eps go.

I can't stand that show. I've tried several times to get into it, but just don't get past the second or third episode. I don't understand what people see in this show.

I know dude....I was the same way......but I dunno ....theres something about it that makes me watch it....I think its the Doctor....I like how Both Eccleton and Smith played him (Smith more). Just wanna see how Tennant does.

There are a couple things I don't like about it tho.....like lame ass villains and sh___t.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Inception ... 10/10. Even with the hype, extremely good. Inventive story, well-executed effects, strong acting. Best of the year so far.

Shaun of the Dead ... 7.5/10. Surprisingly funny.

I've never been able to get into Dr.Who either. Just seems a tad to corny to me. :monkey3 Maybe that's the thing that makes it cool though.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Big Fan - 4/10 - I spent most of the movie wanting to punch Patton Oswalt. The character he played was so over the top stupid, I'm surprised I hung in with this one until the end.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Inception - still a 10/10

I just had to see it again....and I think I'll see it a third time.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Hmmm what to do? I NEVER give a movie a perfect rating. Nothing is perfect IMO. So this is what I have come up with.

Inception 9.75 out of 10 :clap :bow

Moon 6 out of 10

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

The Cave
4.5/10

And only THAT good 'cause Lena Headey was in it and some of the visuals were cool. The movie itself was a steaming pile of poo.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Django - outside of Sergio Leone, this is the best spaghetti western I've seen. Features a bad a** gunslinger who drangs a coffin behind him. Don't bother with the horrible english overdub, it's best viewed in Italian with english subtitles.

Limits of Control - I'm a huge fan of Jim Jarmusch's films, but this one is the least accessible. In a review for the film a critic wrote "like watching paint dry on a wall." I wouldn't go that far, but this is a beautifully shot, reptitive, and tiresome film.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Saw a few movies this weekend. First off, two thematically similar movies:

Adventureland: 7.5 / 10.

(500) Days of Summer: 8.5 / 10. After his role in Inception and the work he did in this, I'm becoming a Joseph Gordon Levitt fan. Really solid actor. I know he was on Third Rock from the Sun as a kid, but I never saw it. He was solid in Stop Loss as well.

And both films have kicka$$ soundtracks that I've purchased on iTunes.

Public Enemies: 8.95 / 10. I'm a huge Michael Mann film, and I've been waiting for his next great crime drama in the vein of Heat. Collateral was decent, and I enjoyed Miami Vice, but I liked Public Enemies more than I thought I would. I passed on purchasing this on Blu-Ray, but I'm going to add this to my collection.

Gamer: 4.5 / 10. Ugh. I like Gerard Butler, and I enjoyed Crank. I haven't seen Crank 2 yet, though I have it on Blu_Ray. However, this movie was horrible. I expected more from a film that had Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall.
