watchmen- 8.5. Was more than pleased with the adaption and very excited for the Directors cut.

gomorrah- 9. awsome. definetly had shades of city of god. Loved the authenticity of it as well, really filming on location in scampia (still dont know how they pulled it off... yeah, the area is THAT bad), as well as using the hardcore napolitanu dialect, just so real.....

It was obvious from the trailers that The Strangers was about home invasion, not a educational trip into the mind of a killer.

I'm aware of that. I didn't give it a high score because it's not my type of psychotic killer movie. I prefer the ones that show a reason as to why the killer had gone berserk and give you some answers. Something for your mind to gnaw on a little after you see it. Thinking about why the three masked characters in The Strangers did what they did is like taking a shot in the dark. It's pointless because we aren't given a single clue.

The last thing I saw was Watchmen and I'm going to give it a 9/10 because I'm in a really good mood (fresh tattoo on my shoulder) and if I hadn't seen the movie, I wouldn't have read the book, and the book is amazing. My main complaint with the film was the long sex scene in the Owl Ship put to "Hallelujah." That was a little inappropriate and could have easily been condensed IMO.

Dragonball: Evolution -1/10. Only saw about 30 mins of it but thats 30 mins of my life I will never get back and 30 mins I could have spent playing Resident Evil 5.

Knowing - One of Nic Cage's better flicks. This is the best one since Lord of War. The ending is so-so, but everything preceding is pretty well crafted. 3.5/5

Rollmodels- Very Funny - 8/10

Transporter 3- terrible switched the channel during to check BB scores forgot I left it running and never missed anything - 0/10 (I don't recomend wasting your time)

Quarentine- bad, The trailer for this movie was better and ruined the flick IMO. 2/10

Being a longtime fan of the original anime and manga, imho this movie is a total insult to the fans.

Do old movies count?

Just watched "Blind Fury" with Rutger Hauer (Encore Action!!!), and perhaps only because I'm a Hauerphile---I actually enjoyed it.

It could use a more "serious" remake though. The story is cool but they handled Hauer's character with this off-handed sort of slapstick humor which was sometimes amusing and sometimes completely out of place.

I enjoyed the Westernized take on the Lone Wolf & Cub mythos and his 'Nam origins.

Fun flick but very far from perfect...

actually that is a whole different character called ZatoIchi (blind one) about a traveling blind swordsman. Very interesting series of films.

I don't think hate is the right word...maybe despise or loathe.

If you ever saw the original uncut cartoon you might be inclined to go all Kamehameha all over the suits who destroyed this property. I saw the commercial and gave it a negative 10...but I think that may have been too lenient. I don't need to sit though 2 hours of it to know how bad it is.
