Went to see The Reader on Saturday (limited release at local student theater) and it was gripping and emotionally exhausting. Kate Winslet ^^^^ing earned that Oscar.

Mirrors: I expected Jack Bauer through the whole flick... 3/10

Twilight: better then expected, but lack of background and the somewhat funny action makes this a 6/10

Pineapple Express : well.... it had funny moment, but hardly the stoner feast it could have been. 5/10

Clerks 2: Simply a funny/ good movie... 9/10

At the movies...Knowing 8/10. Lots of suspense, several powerful action scenes but Cage's acting was a let down. Maybe he should shy away from drama and stick with the action stuff.

On DVD...The Boy in the Striped Pajamas 8/10. Great costuming, excellent attempt at capturing the "other side" of WW2 Germany from the hausfrau and children's view but a sad and ironic ending.

The Punisher : Warzone - 9/10 - Ray is great as Frank!

Star Wars: Clone Wars Vol 1 & 2

Love both, easily one of my favorite animated dvds to watch. The animation is great, just loaded with action. I slightly prefer vol 1 over 2, but both are great due to different reasons. Vol 1 has a great Mace Windu and Kit Fisto scene, while vol 2 showcases Grievous and Yoda. The duel between Anakin and Asajj in vol 1 is great, love how Anakin picks up a Sith lighstaber.

Watchmen in Imax - 8.5/10 - Most people I know didn't really care for Watchmen, but I rather enjoyed it. Have to admit I never could get into "300", but Snyder impressed me a little with this.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist - 8/10 - Heard nothing but good things about this. Won't hear anything different from me. I'm a sucker for romantic comedies.

Miracle at St. Anna - 9/10

Now I am not usually a big Spike Lee fan, but I thought this was an absolutely fantastic movie and had just a killer story. I recommend it just for people to see it!!

"Punisher - War Zone" - great flick...8/10. I like how they didn't make it for little kids who like to watch Barney...lots of violence and gore!

Sunshine Cleaning - 6/10 - Wife drug me to see it. It was a decent flick about losers, but forgettable.

Maniac Cop 2 - 7.5/10 - Great tailend of the 80's flick. It's stilly stupid but fun.

Conan the Barbarian. Got drunk with my oldest brother and we put in my personal favorite Arnold movie. So many quotables, so much violence. The music by Basil Poledouris is probably my favorite film music behind Star Wars music ever.
