Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I thought the film was brilliant, it was incredibly faithful to Charles Portis' original work, and kept me entertained throughout.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

That's just about what I gave the Tourist.

I don't know why so many people dislike it.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

That's the third time in this thread that True Grit has gotten a 5 or 6 out of ten.

Did you guys expect it to be a gritty western and found that instead it was a character study? Have you guys seen the original?

I thought it was a great film.

I liked it

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Season 2 is way better. And so is season 3, and 4. 5 Lags a bit, but it's still good. 6 takes a nose dive a bit, but has entertaining parts.

7 is ok. But mostly because of the Goodbye Michael episode.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

For me the show died on the Wedding episode. When they all danced down the aisle, my friend and I just looked at each other and changed the channel. Jim and Pam really ruined the show for me. Haven't had any interest since as it seems they just go with a very typical formula for all the episodes now revolving around some kind of guest star.

I find most shows die out around the 4th season, even the Sopranos really started to suck with 5 and the comas and dreams and all the cop outs. Mainly because it was all filler that David Chase came up with spur of the moment to drag out the overall story when HBO begged him for more seasons and threw tons of money at him.

Same with House, I stopped watching after season 4.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

That was a little stupid. But the only reason why I did like it, was the Maid of the Mist scene. That made it.

I love these characters. Even if they're annoying. I have to keep watching.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I feel the same but tend to just prefer rewatching the early episodes.

The same thing has unfortunately happened to "Its Always Sunny" with a very typical formula style now applying to most episodes. It's lazy writing and it shows. Family Guy would be the king of this sort of repetitive thing though.

Luckily shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Louie are still out there. And I need to rewatch Game of Thrones and get caught up. It seems well written.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Game of Thrones was so hated for a while. I heard nothing but "It's boring!" "Too much peen!" "meh"

And then one day..."OMG BEST SHOWEVER!!1"

So i'll wait. :D

I agree with that!
Overall this is definitely one of my favourite comedy shows, but if S8 isn't improving or anything than I'll probably stop collecting it.
The Goodbye Michael episode was really great indeed! Pretty sad as well.

I've never watched this show (US or UK version) but I'm familiar with this episode from the promos.. just curious: did you get the reference for that whole wedding thing? Not that it'll change your opinion, just curious.
