Apocalypse Now:Redux 10/10

This was my first time actually sitting down and watching the film. It took me 2 days, but I made it through all 3 hours and 15 minutes of this beast. However, I'd be lying if I said that this was one of my favorite films. It's so dark, and it's literally gruelling to watch this film, moreso with the extended cut, as you have that much more time to get to know these characters, only to have Coppola tear them down. Coppola definitely succeeded in letting the audience experience what war does to people. To quote Brando's Colonel Kurtz,"The horror...the horror."

Cowboys Vs Aliens: 8/10
Probably get made fun of for giving it such a high rating... but I really enjoyed this movie. Just a straight forward fun sci-fi and western mash-up. The score could be a bit inflated as I had very low expectations going in

I just saw Sucker Punch for the first time last night. 8/10 for me. Wasn't as bad as I've read, but 3/5 characters needed a lot more depth to them; I really didn't even care what happened to those 3 in the end.

Captain America The First Avenger 8/10.Red Skull was great villain and actions scenes were good.

I just saw this kind of recently too, I agree with the rating.

Totally agree, a really good comic book movie. I wasnt sure what to expect, but it well exceeded my expectations. Really good action and just a solid flick without all the corny comic book type stuff.

Fright Night (remake): 7.5/10

Very solid movie. I think it's better than the original to be honest. My only major criticism might be a bit too much CG, but whatchagonnado?

well I was hoping it was gonna be better then Thor, which I put at about the same rating. It was good, but I wasn't completely sold with Evans as Cap, not in the same fashion as Downey/Stark and Hensworth/Thor.

Mission Impossible GP in IMAX 8/10 Very fun, exciting, MI movie. Why is TC so cool in his movies but a complete weirdo in real life. The Dubai scenes were awesome, as was the Moscow scene.

Saw MIGP as well, also in IMAX. Great, fun action movie. Easy 8/10, and maybe my fav of the series so far.

Nah 6 was just as good maybe even better. Some people like to just ____ talk and put stuff down because the writers don't do what they want.

I did not like the bringing back of the brother.
I can see bringing if Brother Sam and tying him into the overall religion tone but not sure he wasn't a stretch.
Deb as LT... weak.

But I still am enjoying it. Just two more episodes left to watch.

Then onto Shameless.

I also like the remake alot. I wouldn't say that I like it more than the OG but it was a very good remake. Keep the feel of the original in tact.

totally agree. I'm not a Capt fan so I didn't know what to expect when watching the movie but it was actually pretty damn good.

No. It just wasn't that interesting.

Yep. It was a crap season. Go back at watch season 1 and compare how tacky the music and production values are now. Also the atmosphere has gone too and they've turned all of Miami metro into unlikeable morons.

Sucker Punch - 2/10.

Gets a point for visuals, and having hot chicks, that is it. Pure garbage otherwise. Might have just bumped Napoleon Dynamite from the "worst film in history" spot.
