- Liev Schreiber is just superb but still not enough to save this movie...

Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark - 5/10
- I had high expectations for this movie. With Guillermo Del Toro at the helm. Why does Katie Holmes keep getting hired? I felt like she only gave one emotion through the whole movie while they've under used Guy Pierce. The creatures, creepy looking as they are didn't offer much sense of danger. Disappointing film.

totally agree. Major let-down for me. I was looking forward to this movie too. I'm a big del toro fan.

"The Change Up" 6/10.

It was an OK comedy some good laughs but not as funny as a lot of films released last year.

"Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows" 8/10.

Almost as good as the first film, a really solid sequel none the less.

"The Big Lewboski" 8/10 Pretty funny, but it didn't really go anywhere. Which in a weird way is a metaphor for the dude. Because the story didn't change him at all. Loved Walter though.

Flypaper ... a good "comedy" related sort of movie. I enjoyed watching it and I actually laughed a couple of times out loud. 7,5/10

Merely watchable, but then so was the original. It is slightly more effective with a little girl as the victim.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes - 8/10

I get the sense this was originally just a "smart monkey" movie that got re-jiggered into a POTA flick, but it works well as a reboot, not so much as a prequel. The cgi apes were quite good and never really felt fake to me as cgi animals almost always do. Kudos to Andy Serkis for bringing Ceasar to life, there were some really heart tugging moments there.

He also produced The Orphanage and that was freakin' great. This is still weak for a movie with his name on it. Even when he produces movies they tend to be good.
