Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

My Neighbor Totoro 4/10

I'd never seen it before and had heard such wonderful things about it. But it was really disappointing. I found it a bit strange because it was overly simple and thin like for a kid's movie, but had a very slow pacing that I don't think kids would tolerate. Also the plot about the mother seems very adult and serious for a kid's movie, but was resolved with such a light touch that it took away from the gravity of the situation. I didn't get the sense of charm and wonder that I was expecting, based on word of mouth and reviews.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Thanks for the advice! Those go for $65 on Amazon.ca. Gonna check the reviews & see the difference.

The extended versions are the ones to get! Over the 3 films 2hrs of extras are added. This adds a great deal to the characters and story.

Like Entity said they are far superior :wink1:

Yeah just read about it, thanks for the info.
Thanks to Entity as well, will be picking up the extended edition. :duff

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Make sure you pick up the Extended Versions! From what I hear these are vastly supreriour to the theatrical cuts.

thanks for the tip! I'll do that. They were like 2 and a half hours on their own so I'd hate to see how much longer they are :lol

Of Mice And Men 9/10:monkey2

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

^ Heck yeah. Helen Mirren manning a .50 cal machine gun is pretty badass as well.

The Prestige - 9/10

- One of those movies that you haven't seen but SHOULD see. Another one of Nolan's finest! To further entice the people who haven't seen it, where else would you see Batman, Wolverine, Alfred Pennyworth & the Black Widow in the same movie? :lol Amazing movie! :rock

But, I've already seen it, whya re you assuming that I haven't?...just kididng, 9 / 10 for me, too.

Horrible Bosses: 7.5 / 10. Mildly entertaining.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off: 9.5 / 10. Was checking On Demand last night when my GF said she had never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off. WTF? Promptly played the film. You know a movie stands the test of time when you can play it and it is as funny now as when I first saw it in the theaters in 1986.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Same. Movie was total ass. :lol

I did really love the opening credits. The music, the title...it was..well, really classy.

And then the movie played. :monkey4
