Paranormal Activity 3 - 6/10

The weakest of the 3 films, but had a few cool shots. Nothing more...not really sure how PA 4 will carry on this story.

A History Of Violence 9.5/10

Having spoke about it the other day I just had an urge to watch it again.

I really do not remember enjoying it this much the first time.

A superb movie from start to finish

The Skin I Live In/La Piel Que Habito - 7/10

- Weird & somewhat disturbing. I usually like these kind of ____ed up films but not in this manner.

Bunraku - 5.5/10

- Borrows or imitates from movies such as Kill Bill & Sin City. Story is almost non existant & the action sequences isn't really anything either. The visuals at times are the only saving grace & still wasn't enough.

Justice League Doom - 7/10 - Good, but I still wish they had used Ra's al Ghul.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Was in a Liam Neeson mood after The Grey. I had watched 'Taken' too recently and even Liam couldn't save The A-Team so:

Kinsey - 8/10

with another actor in the role I might not have bothered. Good film.

The Thing (prequel) - 7/10

A decent companion piece to Carpenter's masterpiece, but it doesn't bring anything particularly compelling to the table. The cast of characters is completely uninteresting. This one definitely plays up the monsters over the who's who paranoia, but the cgi works well so it makes for some cool scenes. The ending felt tacked on as hell, almost as if they decided to throw it in there at the last second.

I guess we're supposed to assume Mary Elizabeth Winstead froze to death? The vehicle she was in appeared to have power, so I'm not sure why she couldn't get back to camp. Man, that ending was really clunky.

I agree, it slavishly held to the mythos of the John Carpenter film rather than bringing anything unexpected to the table. Which would have been alright if the film had a lead that came close to Kurt Russel's screen presence, which it didn't. I give this pedantic outing 6/10.

The Last Boyscout 8/10

Really enjoyed it. I loved the old style 80's action (I know it was made in the early 90's) I also found the humour to be really funny.

Hugo - 9/10
What a wonderful film! A refreshing, original story, some great acting and a beautiful setting. The 3D was marvelous as well. It truly had some worth in this film! Absolutely wonderful! :clap :bow

:lecture Hugo 3D. 9/10.

Agreed with everything you said Ingo.
Enjoyed every minute of it and the 3D effects are certainly reference quality. Beautifully put together.
I'll be watching this movie again soon.
