The Spirit: 4/10

Way too campy, and I know that's the point but it's filmed way too dark for that. I enjoyed the way Sin City was filmed but it doesn't carry over well here. Feels more like D ick Tracy with the color on your TV turned way down. I guess there's some character developemnet on the Spirit and Sand but buy the time it comes you really just don't care.

X-Men Origins Wolverine: 4/10

Really a meh film, didn't hate it didn't love it. Just kind of watched it and didn't get much out of it. Probably didn't help that I saw the excellent Trek flick the day before

Agreed with this entire page. ST rocks, and both of the Fox movies suck ass.

Star Trek: 9/10

(had some minor problems that prevent me giving it 10 - didn't like the new ship phasers, Nero's ship had the most absurd interior* we've ever seen, why did Spock maroon Kirk on a hostile ice planet - don't they have a brig? and the score was more like an X-men soundtrack than a Star Trek one - bring back JAMES HORNER!!)

*well and exterior for that matter but the inside was a major health hazard

Star Trek (2009) - 8/10 - Well done movie. Great FX and sound and a good cast. I like how the "reboot" was written into the movie.

Bolt - 7/10 - Was a decent predictable cartoon.

Quarantine - 6/10 - It was ok. The editing was good.

Is this the series of shorts that were included in Marvel Comics Presents, with Barry Windsor-Smith's art? That stuff was great. Haven't seen anything by him in ages.

I'm not just talking about TREK, which I also think is great... just no "10".

Are we just rating how much we personally enjoyed these movies, or their overall quality? That's an important distinction. Because 10/10 is PERFECTION.
