I liked it overall, especially after the patch. There are some visual enhancements that I think were kinda lame but overall the texture work is quite remarkable. And it runs buttery smooth now too.
I had some strange visual errors like detective mode silhouettes appearing outside of...detective mode :lol some slight frame rate problems at first even after the patch, but I dunno why that was. Still great, and I am loving Arkham City on this now :hi5:

Really? I didn't got any of that. Congrats on the Plat btw, that was quick!

Like I said, I'm very comfortable on RTA replacing my old PS3/PC copies and I think they're my go-to versions from now on. I'm slowly working my way on the AC plat so I decided to start the game on hard, thing is I remember the Freeze battle on Hard is a pain and I just arrived at the GCPD to greet him. Hoo boy.

Yup, only about a week - and that was only due to family coming a bit earlier. Already platinumed exactly 3 years ago, never did with Arkham City cause it's exhausting.

Mr. Freeze is a pain but it's a really unique and cool boss fight. I think it was either Hard or New Game Plus where he can actually disable your detective mode and a few other things.

He could disable it, on NG+. I actually think it's one of the greatest boss fights ever, which is a shame since AK had none (wtf?).

The AC plat I got on PS3 was torture, although it's my second proudest plat after MGS2. It's completely do-able but it requires absolute mastery for those damn Predator maps. Top of the World Extreme will give you Knightmares. <inhales> I'm up for it though. :lol

AK's lack of boss fights were among the few steps back that game took...but they were significant. It still boggles my mind, I think the closest the game got to boss fights was that Cloudburst fight which was cool for that atmosphere, OST and overall feel but that entire sequence (as in, everything with Gotham swallowed up by fear gas) just shows how much was wrong with the game. Overall though, Mr. Freeze felt like he should as a boss, andit was superb.

AC's trophies just take way too long, I had problems with the Predator maps but far less then I thought. But the real issue was lining up **** and the game not recognizing it :cuckoo: at this point, all I have left on PS3 is stuff like perfect combos, and Calendar Man. I will probably go back to it this year, maybe.

Beat bloodborne for the third time. Still a 10/10. I can't get enough of this game. Currently working on my 4th and 5th play through with two different character builds.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.

The stiff dialogue and sometimes cheesy cutscenes holds it back from ever achieving true greatness, but aside from that the game still looks gorgeous at 480p and plays quite nicely. While nowhere near as good as the original, still leaps and bounds more "Metal Gear" than the more recent MGSV.

8/10.

We're in about the same place, then, as I just beat him.:hi5: Right now, the most difficult thing I'm faced with is getting the Riddler challenge where you have to do an aerial attack off one guy into another three times. I must have mastered it, at some point, as I managed to get it on the original AC (otherwise, no Plat), but, suffice it to say, I've lost my touch and forgotten how, and, now, I feel like pulling my hair out.:lol

I still have a crapton of Riddler challenges to do, since I'm opting to not use a guide this time. My last save was at the Freeze battle but since this is on hard, I'm not sure if I should spend my point upgrading my armor (which is something I don't normally go for). I think I might have mistook the difficulty of fighting Freeze with the NG+ version, was he that hard?

On a side note, I'm taking a break from AC and playing Batman: Vengeance on Gamecube, haven't played that in years and I forgot how cool the game was. :lol

It wasn't too bad for me. It'd been a while since I last played it, so, I had to restart a couple times to get the hang of his patterns (those drones, for instance), but the disabling Detective mode, for instance, must be on NG+, as I didn't encounter it, here. So far, I think I've got 249 of the Riddler trophies/riddles. Honestly, as far as locations go, I'd say the game does most of the work for you, so long as you pay attention to all of those informants you can interrogate. Getting them isn't quite as bad as I'd initially remembered, either.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards - 7.5/10. Would be higher if 100%ing the game didn't force you to use combo copy abilities from other levels to get everything. Lovely soundtrack and levels made it relaxing to play.

Yeah, I remember dying over 15 times on NG+, which was a sudden difficulty spike since the rest of the game (prior and after) wasn't nearly that hard.

You have an N64? Sweet! I just found an exploit to run virtually any old console on the Wii, it's been giving me loads of joy. :lol

N64 Godeneye: 9/10

been a few years since I did a run through on double 0. this game still holds up somehow. probably due to nostalgia.

Until Dawn - 9/10

Higher than last time since I've grown to appreciate it even more. I kept getting to the last scene and the controller slightly moving in the slightest caused me to die... twice :lol so I just put it on my night table during the not move scenes.

Although I was able to save all the characters this time. Next time, everyone is pushing up daisies.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

A pseudo choose-your-own-adventure that leans towards psychological thriller rather than classic Silent Hill horror, the game will keep you guessing until the shocking end. A few tedious chase scenes holds it back from absolute perfection, but willingness to forgive that and you'll might end up with some of the best Silent Hill stories ever. Highly recommended.

8/10.

I always wanted to play that!

Dude, you gotta get it. It's like dirt cheap now. My Wife got it for $15.

It's a quick time event game, but it's the best representation of it. The QTEs are simplified and the story is excellent. DO NOT LOOK IT UP! You'll spoil it. Graphics are some of the best I've seen on a console.

I'm aware of it being a sleeper hit of sorts, and SuperbunnyHop gave a glowing review. If he says it's good, it's good. :lol

I beg you to play it, it's the most fun I've had in a game in a long while. I was immersed beginning to end. There's one little plot device that kinda doesn't make any sense toward the end, but you can ignore it since it's extremely minor... but I'll talk about it if you get it and beat it.

It was the studio's first game IIRC. Amazing David Cage and Quantic Dream have been doing these things for almost two decades and they perfected it on one try. It's got the best facial motion capture and likenesses in gaming IMO.

I'll definitely get it this year, does it have DLC? I only collect American games so I have to import it since games sold here natively have ugly Chinese boxarts, thus I play more than you folks to play games. :lol

I'm aware of the game not selling well and performing like crap due to the graphics, but people who beat it, swore by it as being an awesome first time playtrough.
