Wow, congrats! Multiplayer was a chore, I'm just happy we got it done. I think I'll log onto my PS4 later tonight to play some Dying Light, or work on the Platinum for TLOUR (which I shouldn't have left off for so long :slap).

Thanks! It's a decent challenge, a solid 6/10 but that multiplayer bumped it to a 7. Definitely a worthy plat now that you have that out of the way. How long did it took us to beat the journey again? A month? :lol

Days and nights of stress and one month of dying, getting our ***** utterly kicked, being humiliated as young punks cursed us out over headsets. I also sent my first harassment report to Sony. It's quite an accomplishment that we made it through :lol.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD - 8.5 (almost a 9 at times)/10

Outstanding game and my favorite of the series. The HD makeover makes this a truly gorgeous game, with all those little touches of subtly like every blade of grass reacting to Naked Snake. Music is great, and the boss fights are pretty great in my opinion with some of the things you can do and the challenge (Pain withstanding and Fury on a bad day). Story that kept me glued and kept me wanting to return even after playing it twice on my 3DS, though for a different reason then the first two solid games. Can't find much wrong, does a lot of cool things and I love it for that.

My only complaints might be things like the survival viewer, a couple of sequences, and the HD version's lack of Subsistence content, which I'm probably going to track down.

Since it has no ending, I'm rating it anyway.

DayZ Standalone - 9/10

For an unpolished Beta, it's pretty astounding how much thought was put into it. It's been kinda stuck in a holding pattern the last few years, but the final game... whenever that is, should be extraordinary.

Quantum Break. This took 4 years to develop? Really? Very generic gunplay with rubbish detail in the reload animations and weapons, gameplay that is 30% combat, 70% looking at emails. Very easy even on hard difficulty. Story was OK but as a big remedy fan this game kinda sucked. 5/10

Hotline Miami - 10/10

I rarely assign perfect scores to anything. But, I believe that Hotline Miami is well-deserving on one. It's an adrenaline-pumping thrill ride, as you battle your way through scores of pixelated enemies, at the tune to 80s Synthwave. There's also a simple, yet engrossing storyline that'll make you care about the lead character, too.

It's a good Indie title to relax and unwind with, after a long, hard day of work.

Uncharted 1

8/10
Great story and characters. Short and sweet, gun play is a bit off.

Rayman Origins - 8/10

Very fun and entertaining game, fast paced and tight. Some parts can be a little unfair like getting enough lums and a few specific sequences, but overall great game.

Uncharted 4: The Last of Drakes.. I mean A Thief's End.

Criminally gorgeous, thrilling, unbelievably immersive and a fitting conclusion to Joel and Ellie, I mean Nathan and Sam. While the game is far from perfect, you owe it to yourself to play it if you love videogames. Truly one of the generations' highlights.

9/10.

How would you stack it against TLOU?

They're both VERY similar, but I'd give the edge to Uncharted since Drake is clearly the better protagonist of the two. While it's still an Uncharted game, it really does feel like TLOU2, without the infected of course. It has everything that made TLOU great.

That being said, I don't think you'll get the reference if you haven't played the previous games, so get on to that stat. A true gem of a game that that it would be a crime to miss out.

Shadow of the Beast PS4 7/10

SOTB is a very nice looking game, with addictive and fluid combat, and some puzzles thrown in too. It mashes together elements of old games and new and produces a very enjoyable & fun arcade experience, that looks very lush indeed. It is essentially a 2D platformer that is relatively short, but there is a lot of stuff to unlock with new areas to be found upon exploration, soit should keep me busy for the next week or so. If you have a few years gaming experience, and knowledge of platforming games of old, you should enjoy this.

You can unlock the original game too..... good luck playing that :rotfl

Yeah Pliss, get on the Uncharted games and all of Naughty Dog's greatness! :lecture I'm near done, and loving a lot of it. Especially the throw backs. TLoU comparisons are fairly spot on though, but it's like the best of both worlds with Uncharted and TLoU.

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures - 8/10. Very amusing and chaotic game, loved every moment due to the throwbacks and occasional parody of stuff from the series.

Ori and the blind forest. (pc)

9/10

I love everything about this game, it is beautiful, heart warming, fun and Flipping HARD!!! I bought it on a whim and I was expecting a relaxed platformer given it's beautiful art style, man was I wrong! I died over 1000 times on my first play through, I took the time to explore and got about 16hrs out of it. Not bad given I paid £7 for it on steam. My only criticism is that there are several "escape" levels, these boarder on being insanely frustrating rather than fun at times, and there is no way to save your progress during them. You have to learn every single button press and every enemies movement pattern and just persist with them. I knocked a point off for these levels, but many would probably consider them to be a good thing I guess. I'd say at least 200 of my deaths were from the water escape level alone. It did feel good when I finally beat it however.

The rest if the game is difficult, but so much fun with it. I'd say this is the best game I've played in years! So much so that I just purchased the newly released definitive addition so that I can play the whole thing again with a few new areas to explore.

Buy this game and thank me later...

Dark Souls 3

9/10

I love this game but I put Bloodborne just a little above it so I can't give it a perfect score. I do really really love this game but I feel it doesn't have quite the intricate level design that Bloodborne had, it seems to have a mix of Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne. The boss fights are fantastic as usual, the Yhorm the giant fight was a show stopper

and the Pontiff boss fight was a pain in my *** lol Took me hours to beat him on my first play through, crushed him on my second play through, first try. Even though I feel they weren't really needed in Bloodborne I did really enjoy the dungeons and felt like i got more than what I paid for in the end. I love Dark Souls 3, it's a great game, already put more than 80 hours into it and I'm on my second play through. I can't wait to see what From Software does next.

Never turn your back on this game!

But sometimes the game reminds you it doesn't always want to be an *** lol
