Re: More Rick, Pg. 4 - Available for commissions!

Spenser's Connery, which was a really nice quality casting to paint - I didn't need to Dremel the neck to fit, which was a bonus :clap

Painted this one up at the weekend, pretty happy with it.

I have time available to take on commissions, particularly over the holidays, if you like my work and are interested :wave

Thankyou! They are so small, pleased with how these turned out.

Yeah the eyes on that sculpt are tiny! Like Bbkill Craig small...

Re: Dubby's Paint - SOA, TWD Merle Dixon

Wow, huge improvement in a short time... your last paint ups are fantastic :rock

Time to change out the first pick in your thread :lecture

And one piece of unsolicited advice... the whites of your eyes are a bit too clean. I use an almost lilac color and then make sure to have a bit of pink at both corners. The whites of the eyes are pretty varied in color so when it's all white around the iris it looks a bit odd.

Thank you! I have been looking at Merle since, and I think I may re-paint the hair a little, so it's less grey. Thanks for the tip on the eyes; I have been putting a little blue in with the white to dull it, but I will try a lilac-ish color mix next time.

Re: Dubby's Paint - SOA, TWD Merle Dixon

Yeah, the very mildly purple seems to give the impression of veins and other stuff w/o having to actually try to paint them which usually just looks cluttered :lol

But seriously great work... I can't believe how quickly you've gotten to this level of work :hi5:
