alright, after seeing all these pics ive finally been convinced to get one. Gandalf is my favorite lord of the rings character, but with all the other new stuff coming out i was trying to put off getting him. but i can resist no longer
i hate the buck body, so ill more than likely be doing a body swap. i do have a couple questions though, so if anyone here could answer them it would be great. this will be my first SSC body swap so i want to make sure i know what im doing
what color truetype body would fit this best?
also, how easy is it to swap heads, hands, etc from the sideshow body to a truetype body?

The new Truetype is simple and accepts SS heads and hands with no modifications. And doesn't really matter about the body color since Gandalf is so covered you'll never see anything other than the face and hands.

The new Truetype is simple and accepts SS heads and hands with no modifications. And doesn't really matter about the body color since Gandalf is so covered you'll never see anything other than the face and hands.

If I may, I'd simply go for the new asian truetype, as it sems to be the easiest to get ahold of.

Not only that but the way Gandalf is constructed it doens't really matter what color he is since you don't see any parts of the body at all. Its 100% covered with clothes.

oh i know you guys are right about the body not being seen, its just that im really anal about figures and it will constantly bug me if the body color doesnt match well even though you cant even see it. ill go with the asian if thats the best way to go price wise, but if i am able to manage to get my hands on either which would you recommend as the best match?
oh, and will i need hot toys hand and head pegs? i just want to know what all i actually need in case i can buy a loose body for less money.

Gandalf has far more pink in his color than any HT fig but if it were me I would go Asian since that seems to match most caucasian characters more than the HT Caucasian which seems to be more tan in color.

Finally had a moments peace to open Gandalf and just had to share in everyone's praise of this figure. Also happy that the joints on mine arent loose and no bent staffs or dodgy paint so very happy about that too. Will get some pics up this weekend. So sad this line may have come to an end tho
