I've done this with all my LOTR figures so far.

Gandalf's head isn't a sculpted neck though. It has the double joint. Hence why I recommended picking up the extra TT neck.

No, not really. he does have a sculpted neck... sorta it's just really really short. his neck is exactly the same as every other sideshow figure on the buck body. his beard makes it where he dosn't need a traditional neck. yeah, you could force one of those adapters onto him, but the head would not stayvery good, and would look really odd on one of those, as it would end up much higher than it should be.

actualy, no it's not permenent. you CAN remove the hot glued hot toys neck adapter , it just takes boiling water, and ALOT of force.

happens some times, yah, just boil it and pull REALLY hard , afterwords, clean out any excess with an xacto knofe, and try again.

I was just admiring my Gandalf figure yesterday... aside from the body (which you can't see when posed) he is a stellar figure and one of my favorites. Too bad the line died with him

When I get home from work today Gandalf had better be there. He was supposed to be delivered since Monday according to UPS tracking, which strangely enough, the delivery date kept getting pushed back a day.

WTF UPS?

Did you order directly from Sideshow? I had the same type of problem and after chasing a couple of deliveries around for a few days with UPS, I contacted Sideshow and asked for a note to be placed on my account for FedEx shipping only! They were happy to oblige. Even though there is a fee for the signature SS requires, I don't mind, because FedEx always shows up early in the morning for me, with almost no hassles. While UPS, wow, they just suck in my opinion.

Good luck. I got my Gandalf, Frodo, and Faramir exclusives all by USPS today on my doorstep. I'm very happy. Now I'm just waiting on Boromir, Aragorn, and Legolas to complete my "incomplete" collection!

Same here one of my order was missing they said they delivered it WTF UPS better use fed ex if one of my order dont come tommorow from ups im gonna get so pissed off ...
