Finally got my Doom and he's pretty cool. Magnets are a bit weak, anyways to fix this?
Overall he's a nice piece. Glad I got the opportunity to secure an Ex.

Earth magnets. It was posted several pages back which ones you should get and would fit the best.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but why is the regular edition still up for PO at Sideshow? I know the exclusive came out last summer but hasn't the regular edition also been released? I mean it's in stock at BBTS and CMD Store among others.

It's weird, sometimes they sell all their stock, and then they have another batch coming in a few months. I think something similar happened with their Batman PF, they had shipped a lot already, it was when it had the armpit issue, then they had pre-orders up for new shipments that fixed the armpit issue a little better.

Thanks, that makes total sense. I wonder if this next batch will correct an existing issue (though the magnets are the only one I've heard of) or be the exact same? I really want this guy and can't imagine him coming along again at 1/4, but I'm just trying to consider everything before deciding between getting him from Sideshow or somewhere else.

Pick him up wherever you want to. You won't be disappointed. This is a really good looking PF. I always wanted a 1/4 standing Doom statue and this fills the bill perfectly for me.

Not at all, those earth magnets connect to the magnets on the statue and act as a "2nd layer" of magnets as their reverse sides would attract each other and create the stronger attachment that you want.

Found this on eBay for cheaper than retail, plus it's already in Canada so cheaper shipping than would be from SS and best of all no import taxes. All-and-all probably about $150 less out of my pocket than getting it from SS and didn't have to spend any reward points. Anybody know if there's a God Doom outfit anywhere?

If you are getting it signed for you personally, then sure. If you are looking at it as an investment, I'd pass. For whatever reason, this piece is selling dirt cheap so his sig won't add any real value to the piece. I have this PF and personally love it. You definitely have to futz with the cape and hood to make it look good, but once that's done...I think he looks fantastic.

Yeah, it's a shame, I love the piece as well, I think many people weren't able to futz the cape well, I remember there was a lot of frustration in that regard to the 1/6 Batman lines, hence a lot of custom cape purchases. I feel like he's missing someone to pair with on display, hoping for another villain PF like Magneto, or perhaps Iron Man to go along w/ the armor theme.

I tried to sell my Exclusive version on here for $100 under what I paid Sideshow. No takers, so he's up on E-bay now... This is a very unpopular statue for whatever reasons... I think if SS would of sculpted the outfit it would of done better, would of gave it a more dynamic vibe...

That is exactly my opinion. If this was fully sculpted, I think it would've had a stronger presence.

I made almost $15,000 in profit on my pieces I sold in my first 7 years of colleting now I lose at least $100.00 on each piece. I was offered $150.00 for my Storm Shadow statue would have cost me $20.00 in fees and at least $30.00 to ship a piece that size no matter how short the distance. shipped 2 lb palisades statue and that cost $15.00 to ship, this is now normal for this market. Not sure this can keep going statue cost go up, shipping goes up and resale values go down. Use love buying a piece and then resell to buy another piece now forget that.

Do what I do. Don't buy from Sideshow anymore. I really just roll the dice and just wait to see the piece on ebay or on the forums. I've basically saved at least $100 a piece.
