Right skooter. There's an in-between nail/staple catogory for those little guys (but there're still nails), but what Bateman has is heavy duty and one that size is not even powered by power cord but by an air compressor.

Some updates to keep you guys happy... keep in mind, this is the actual sculpt, NOT a test cast with a drilled neck or anything. This is just Denny testing showing the effectiveness of the expression on a figure. The shirt and suit jacket are from The Demon's Head release and serve as a placeholder... Skin, hair and other textures are yet to be implemented...

Looks amazing!

Well I didn't know what direction Denny was going to go with accessories, so I've been in talks with a couple of customizers to pick up the slack. I mentioned things like the brief case, Walkman, and nail gun because I didn’t know what Denny was going to leave out. One guy in particular was very interested in this and is just waiting to see what Iminime doesn’t cover. Obviously we can get someone to do a run of anything there is enough interest for. But we should weigh out a few things.

For what I’m going for, I don’t believe that you can find the loose ends on the market. If you’re fine with a generic kitchen knife or axe, then that’s different. But if you’re looking for accuracy, then obviously the only way to get it is if it’s specially made.

I have someone who is able to do real metal and wood axes. He did a pretty screen accurate Torrance one (almost 6” in length). I have to touch base again but I believe that he can make it very shiny or even chrome like Bateman’s.

(Between Iminime and whatever gets sourced out) At the end of the day I want to end up with:

Brief case
Global Kitchen Knife
Axe
Nail Gun
CD
Walkman

(I was even going to see if someone you does paper props could do his planner full of twisted sketches that Jean finds at the end)

I don’t need the chainsaw as I feel it’s out of place and as it was said only works with a naked bloody Bateman. The kitchen knife to me is essential. It’s a big part of the promo ads, you see it in the kitchen in the “Jean scene”, and as far as I’m concerned, all of that implies that’s what he used to kill Al. Plus it’s a super stylish accessory and not your average wood handle Myers Lamson knife. It’s also another symbol of his materialism as Global is still considered a stylish high end (and expensive) knife and was probably more so in the 80’s.

The one that you see at the bottom of the three is a G-29. They’ve used other ones with a longer look in the promos, which I’m not opposed to.

That is very tempting. I would prefer, as stated before, to get an axe from iminime as it would feel like a complete figure from the source that way. Additionally, if we do a small run of Global knives that would be pretty awesome.

These are all great accessories. Nail gun, CD and Axe are what I think should be done.

I love the idea of the planner!

And a chainsaw would be fun to get eventually, especially if we get 2 head sculpts with the figure.

The sculpt looks good but it lacks expression in his eyebrows. They're too horizontal which makes him look like he's just opening his mouth really wide instead of screaming. The inner part (by the bridge of the nose) should be a little raised and they should angle downward toward the ears. Like the promo pic.


And I know I'm jumping the gun but I hope that the raincoat is included in the set and Denny can offer the overcoat as an add on (like Skipper's robe set).

I always told you guys that Denny has considered doing the Raincoat from day one... the only problem with that is its fabrication.
Finding 'translucent' vinyl material at the correct thickness (rather thinness) and making usable buttons to fasten it is more than a challenge..

Also I think the knife in question should be used should be the one used in the poster, the G29 is a great chopping knife, but AL was stabbed fast and well... the G29 would offer a lot of resistance at the point as the sharpness is towards the blade...
Also the knife that we all associate with the movie is technically the one in the Poster...so Poster knife for me...

So Axe and Knife are the most important ones for me atleast. (Axe, Knife, CD and Business card is 100% happening IMO)
The items in question are the Nail Gun and Briefcase and walkman...

The G29 is actually for fish & meat, not for chopping. It looks like the have some slightly longer version of the G29 in the promos. Longer but same shape. I'd definitely go for that as it does look cooler in the promos when it's not as stumpy

Sounds great about CREG's offering. I'll be in for that. the person who seemed most interested in picking up the slack that I was pitching this to was Dchung. Wheither it be Walkman, cell phone, or nail gun I know he'll kill it.

As I said, I have someone at OSW who does the axes well. If he could achieve the chrome finish well, then I'd be replacing Iminime's axe anyway as I'm sure they won't make it of real wood and metal.

So I'm going to source and upgrade as I need regardless of what Denny offers. But I would like to see Iminime offer the knife, axe, briefcase, and nail gun. I think Dchung can handle the CD, video tape, cell and Walkman really well.

Same here, but it would be nice to have the package with the figure. A bunch of my figs have 'stock' parts in their boxes as they have had them replaced.

I really think that it's just a longer version of the G29 in the promos. It's fat and has that unique shape. I have to disagree in it looking like Myers lamson. It isn't long and thin as the ones your posting. Pull up that one that KAI did and you'll see that he made a longer version of the G29 and it looks reaaly cool.

Do we really need the cd it's not a must its only for the one scene not everyone with display him with it
