I think it was more of being rich and able to by up any potential competition that posed an honest threat. I'm sure she probably knew all about Adam. Also, with Adam being an underdog, she knew the crowd would be with him.

It is a great fun watch.

It is robot Rocky with quite a touching father/son story.

The CGI is excellent and the score superb from Elfman.

great movie.. not all the Robots are CGi. Spielberg i recall told them to make lifesize robots to go along with the people to make it more believable..lifesize puppets.
