I seem to be taking my sweet time with this game lol
I just finally got the Duster coat outfit.
I find I have spurts where I pursue the main storyline and do a bunch of chain quests with the main guys to go to on the map. Then I have periods where I'm just a wandering drifter, exploring, playing the games, killing animals, dealing with any of the random encounters along the way, getting herbs, doing bounties etc.

This is how I was with the latest GTA and how I was with Fallout 3 and most likely how I will be with this game. I try to finish all current side quests and BS before doing the main story line stuff.

I feel like such a dunce, but I figured out the improved campsite can get you where you're going in no time. Yeah, I found this out after beating the main story. :slap

I'm one ****ing Pigeon away. :gah:

You can find pigeons in Blackwater. Just go up on the roof of a building..there are usually several up there.

I thought you had 100%? Or does the Legend of the West outfit not count as one of the outfits you have to have completed to get 100%?

You can fast travel with the regular campsite too....though I don't know if you would call it fast because you lose a few hours on your clock.

If you go for the achievement to clear out all the US Gang hideouts in a 24 hour (game time) period, be sure to not use fast travel! Just get yourself a fast horse and you can do it easily.

I don't recall having to shoot a pigeon.

I just hused the American Stableford and got through it without having to fast travel.

I'm only 7 achievments away from having them all. One of them though is the horse through 20 missions which means I have to start over. :(

Yeah, I already did the 24 hour US gang hideout. It was just that during the whole game before I finished I kept using the horse or stagecoaches to get from like Blackwater all the way to Mexico! :rotfl
I either wasted time(real time, not game time) or money. But it wasn't until after I completed the game and am now trying to get 100% that I figured out you could travel with the campsite.

Yep, a pigeon is one of the animals you have to kill for the achievment. It's listed in the social club.

I only need 2 more for single player....the same one you do, and the one for killing 500 with a mounted gun. I'll have to start over for those two myself.

I don't think you do. The social club isn't exactly synced with the game very well. Well, the 500 for mounted gun you'll have to finish on MP. You can't get enough for SP.

Here's the list I used:
Armadillo
Bear -Tanners Reach
Beaver - Northeast of the word Cochinay along the river. Also look south of Tall Trees in Bear claw camp (you have to zoom in real close to see the name, below Manzanita post).
Bighorn Sheep - Between Rattlesnake Hollw and Pleasance House
Boar - Can be found in pens at the most Nothern point on the map, in the snow mountains near an abandoned fort there.
Bobcat - Southwest Mexico, go to the bottom left corner of the map; around Escalera and Nosalida. Also found in the Northeastern part of the Great Plains.
Buffalo - Great Plains
Cougar - Southwest of Fort Mercer, Southeast of Repentance Rock
Coyote
Crow
Deer/Buck
Duck - South of Gaptooth Breach, west of the Scratching Post along the water line. Also found around Lake Don Julio.
Eagle - Tall Trees
Elk - Tall Trees
Fox - Tall Trees and Great Plains
Hawk
Horse - Wild
Owl
Rabbit
Raccoon - Must hunt at night as they are nocturnal, seen around Armadillo and packs in the Great Plains.
Seagull - Near Blackwater, you can hear its distinctive sound
Skunks - Around Armadillo
Snake - Found all over, be sure to listen for the rattle sound.
Songbird
Vulture - Kill something and they appear flying over the dead animal
Wolf

Oh my mistake - I was getting the seagull confused with a pigeon. You are correct, sir. :duff

When I got that achievment - I didn't have the list - so I was killing everything...even killed a dog and a cow. :(

I think the Pigeon he is taking about was for GTA4..you needed to kill 100 in the game to get an achievment. which would then give him 100% gamerscore on GTA.

Yeah, the seagull you gotta take out. That was the last one I got. Had to go and look at that list cause I had no idea what I was missing. I killed all kinds of stuff like that. Was kind of fun actually. :lol

Good list...thanks

Erg, I just started playing and I read on this forum the ending. Erg!

Loving the game though. Very expansive. I could just go around for hours killing things or experimenting/looking around at all the tons of lil things they packed into the game.

On my sixth treasure. I can't stop treasure hunting! I am totally getting good at reading the maps. The hardest one to find was the treasure where you gotta slide down the side of the mountain.

If you want the achievements, just go here

Man, this game was harsh to me just now! I was finding some treasure near Rio Del Lobo, and while I was picking up the rocks and opening the chest, some Mexican comes out of nowhere, talks to me, and steals my American Standard horse!!!! Now that's realism for ya! :rotfl:rotfl

Edit: The horse came back! I guess I can live with the man stealing him now. He was probably in need anyway. :)
