I am I missing something. We have Cobra Trooper, Duke, and Storm Shadow out of that set. The V1 Cobra Commander and V1 Snake Eyes are on the way, but not out yet. V2 Snakes and Bradstreet Cobra Commander are not in the 25th Anniversary set.

Not necessarily the versions, but the characters.

Sorry Teemu but this makes absolutely no sense to me. Sideshow HAS told us that's there's more core characters coming, it's in your post! :cuckoo:

So in fact SS has done exactly what you're asking, they've said here's a red ninja but also we have dome Cobra Commander in the works along with Zartan, V1 Snake Eyes, Dusty, Snowjob, Hawk, Crisomson Guard, and the ladies are supposed to make their debut this year for relase next year.

I think at this point some of us are just plain nit picking and looking for anything and everything to dissect and then pick apart simply because he's not your particular favorite. If you don't like it, put your money where your mouth is and don't buy it and move on.

:wave

uh yeah...we all know that...and I asked by when? 2020?? just because Sideshow says we have characters in development doesnt mean we will get them anytime soon...do you understand me now? my post is not that difficult to follow, its just some will defend sideshow in every decision they make :huh

Yeah, when? These figures have been announced/in development for what, over a year now and still no pre-orders yet they have no problem squeezing out generic figures that don't require much effort on their part to make in less than a trimester. :exactly:

:lecture:lecture:lecture:lecture:lecture

buy now, get your figure a year later!!

So if you like what SS is offering you are defending them?

Back in the day I never _____ed about the offering. "Who the hell is this Mainframe?? What is Hasbro thinking? We get one series a year. It will be 1989 before we see another kewl Snake Eyes."

back then figures were 1.97 each with about 10-15 figures in each series plus vehicles,playsets...plenty to choose from...Sideshow has released only 2 figures so far this year (one rehash, one main character) and we might get lucky and have firefly by end of 3rd quarter

But yet if they rushed them out, and they came out like crap, you'd be here _____ing just as loud. Can't have both man. Not even HT can do that. Look what happened with their rush-jobbed DX02. It's one or the other. Me, I prefer quality over quantity.

i don't undertsand the i have to buy-it-now and have-it-now thing. i have no problem waiting a year and being patient for a phenomanal figure. duke was well worth the wait. like nam said...look at the quality of that figure. now if we waited a while then got a poorly executed, horribly manufactured figure that would be one thing. every figure in this line has been amazing (imo). sure, i wish crimson cc had been a joe but i voted with my wallet and didn't buy him. so i guess if peeps don't want the ninja...don;t buy it. i think it will still sell out like the others.

i guess it boils down to if you are offended by the audacity of ss releasing a red ninja. personally, i'm excited. he looks cool from what we've seen, he fits into the joeverse and he's an army builder. all pluses for me personally.

se, duke, beachhead, flint, cc, officer, trooper, ss, firefly, red ninja + a few variants and environments...if anyone had said when this line was announced that would be the line up we would have by this point people would have been estatic. plus given what they have said they have in the works?

for me, imo, they are worth the wait.

Then stop collecting them and move on :cuckoo:

No kidding. If I was that disappointed and annoyed all the time I would hate this hobby. I don't know why some of these guys even bother with collecting if its such a hassle and constant annoyance to them.

Maybe some folks just need to feel slighted all the time to feel anything at all :dunno

Pretty much! This is the thing that I've been saying for quite a lone time actually. We see it all the time with figures like this, CCC, Clones with SW, etc. Just skip it and move on all while enjoying the figures you do get. Makes collecting a lot more fun IMO.

Sure, but at the same time, uts not about hating collecting, its about having an opinion about how SS handles the lines that we as collectors pay for.

When there is a valid point I dont see why we cant discuss it, instead of praising SS all time? No?

This line just moves really slow, and for me I dont know how much longer Ill be putting my free time into this hobby.

Lets face it, this line appeals to a small segment right? Guys between 30 -40, ish I have friends who are 29, and dont have a clue who Gi Joe ARAH are. So I would think as a business SS would want to appeal to these collectors now, in the short term before they get older move on. Then they wonder why the lines die

Did SS ever mention they were "working on" Merry and Pippin?

People can have an opinion thats for sure. Problem is many folks are either snobbish in that they know better or act as if their childhood was taken out behind the woodshed and beaten.

I totally agree. If its valid thats fine. Like I said above many have a snarky holier than though comments that they know better or could do better. Along with the end of my previous comment above.

It does move slow. However, I'm fine with that because it allows me to save and move funds around. As far as not knowing how much more free time you or I will be putting in. Well, thats not any companies problem really.

Well, I'm 28 and know who GI Joe is. I cant count how many figures I lost as a kid. :( :lol The thing is in this hobby actually many of the collectors are older. Always seems that way when I go to SDCC cause they have the extra money to buy these without problem.

Did SS ever mention they were "working on" Merry and Pippin?

I don't remember actually.

I think it would be though. If you and I stop, is there really more new people getting into this line?? So as a business SS just potentially lost two customers

There's always someone to fill the shoes. Even in this economy. Do they want us to move on? No, that would be a bad thing but at the same time they aren't going to rush something just to keep a couple of folks. Great items like Duke will bring in more in the end than lose by taking time.

That said, the only thing I don't like is when they all seem to hit at once and you gotta move around cash to keep the exclusives because canceling is NOT an option. :lol

You know what? It would have been pretty cool if they would have called the figure "Satan." Maybe people would have liked it more.

Are we still talking about Red Ninja???

Yes, well, atleast I am.
