i'm not entirely sure about that. the guy that i've bought mine from is a marvel employee, so he has them given directly to him from sideshow. some have been numbered 'marvel' or 'marvel sample' followed by the edition size, while some aren't even numbered at all.

Oh.....I've always wondered how it works. Well, congrats on the Red Skull production sample! That's amazing how you get a hold of all of those.

Another questions too. Maybe you would know, what's the difference between a production sample and an artist proof? (I know the name kind of says it all, but I'm honestly not too clear about the differences.)

Just got Red Skull today Simply amazing, even my dadthinks it's bad ass! But there is one little problem or issue. There are a few paint-chips on the base on the edges and stuff. Very small one's but still a bit noticable Other then that just perfect.

Someone on this thread said that they called about a button and SS didn't have any more, it could of change from that point though!

Should I get a full replacement? As you can see the damage is not huge but it is noticeable and it does bug me some what. Of course though I am afraid of getting one in worse condition or not getting another one at all and I love this statue so I definitely want it. Any suggestions or thoughts on what I should do?

WOW! So many Red Skull PFs are coming with flaws and damages. This is a joke.

If you can fix it then try. You are right, sometimes you get a replacement that is worse or nothing at all. There is an epoxy that could fill in that chip. Then all you would have to do is paint it appropriately. The scuff on the boot doesn't look too bad at all.

I'd say get a replacement or a refund, but I wouldn't have the patience for a replacement

Are all the damaged ones exclusives? I bought a regular version and he arrived last night in perfect condition, good paint apps and no missing parts. He's a stunning piece.

Can someone do me a favour and take a picture of the front of their Red Skull PF base and also the very bottom where the stamp is. Just a hunch, but I think there was a chip in my base that was painted over. Not certain, but it would definitely make things easier if I had those pictures available. Thanks.

my exclusive arrived today. perfect cept the Luger barrel was slightly bent. lil hairdryer action and it's now straight as an arrow...er gun barrel.

I don't know about meaner. But I would have preferred that they had been a little more faithful to the comic and given him that "oversized brow" that he has.

It's an awesome Skull sculpt, and I am glad I bought him. But a bigger brow would make him even better. Kind of like this one.

yeah that's one thing I wanted too but I'm really happy with how he came out but that would have made him perfect IMO.
