Where were they $300 for an EX? Never seen one under retail and I have watched constantly the whole time it has been released. Cheapest one I saw was just shy of $400 shipped for a displayed one about 6 months ago.

They must have sold immediately then, I would have picked up one to have repainted for that low. That is a good deal for a regular even.

SS has been getting WAY better with final releases recently. All their recent DC releases have been better than years past for sure.

I actually agree with you on this but just the way the first one turned out, I was very disappointed. This proto looks even better than the first proto to me so hopefully the production pieces are close and it's a homerun for sure. I'm still on the fence because POing this is going outside of my collection lines and I would only be getting it for wow factor. I have not read any of her comics...this just looks really sexy and badass. The grotesque thing also plays into it as I have 2 young girls.

It is, patience is one the best things you can have for picking up statues at a good price. There are very few things that I've found waiting doesn't actually help, and of those that it has never helped me are the "really rare" ones that you almost never see pop up for sale. Obviously don't wait years though as it might just go up ^^ but ebay feeds are you're friend (best thing ebay has done in a while), and don't be afraid to contact people and ask for a better price going just through paypal.

Getting one for that low is pure luck, patience is a pretty small factor. It would have sold in minutes. I am on here everyday and I did not see them.

Pretty big factor for me I just got 2 statues that sell quite highly and after some unfortunateness where one broke during shipping with the partial refund from that (which was already a good deal) and a good deal on the other I got both for what seems to be the normal asking price nowadays of just either of them ;p

I recommend this as well, generally my hunt for good prices is for stuff that is sold out/no longer available from SS. Though I do often wait to see how a piece will come out, and if that means that I miss the chance on ordering an EX (I still do po sometimes, if I really really like something, or if it's the HT 1/4th stuff ) from sideshow then v0v I'm sure I can find it later and even if it is more expensive (usually not) at least I know it should be good. Had enough of POing and then waiting forever to get garbage.

edit: Note as you say for stuff that just released, most likely you'll only save a few bucks in which case it's not worth it. However for stuff that the price has risen a fair bit it can save you hundreds even on single pieces.

2nd edit: Also what I've learned is NOT to pass up a good deal you are waiting on unless you absolutely have too. There was a couple things that I wanted quite badly, of which I could have gotten literally at half price if I just borrowed some money from a friend or something but didn't and regret They rarely come back a second time :/

Does anyone know why the current Red Sonja PF is not available for flex pay? I know that it is now shipping, but you can still get a payment plan (like split it up into 2 months) on other PFs that are now shipping.
