But for this piece that has so much potential, give it a chance. Order it, wait until you have it in hand and then make a decision if you want it or not. I wouldn't base my decision on what happened with another piece. And I wouldn't make my decision way before this piece is released either.

However, what happened with other SSC pieces does affect my confidence in SSC. I'll admit that. But I'll still get this piece in hand to see for myself before writing it off.

Exactly. I learned long ago that you can't make a 100% decision on getting a piece based just on other peoples views / pics. If it grabs your attention on initial announcement then the only way you will know for sure if you like a piece is to get it! You can wait until a friend or store gets one so you can physically see it yourself, but you risk it selling out and regret taking the chance. If the piece you get is far from what was initially advertised then there is a returns system.

Red just looks too good to pass over.

No idea why there is drama in 'this' thread, I still am blown away by this piece. Might be the nicest comic sculpt I have ever seen. It is truly magnificent. I am still planning on resisting this, though if price comes in at around Aquaman levels I will probably order before I come to my senses. I just love the first one that much, and don't really want to double dip. That said, THIS is the piece that could get me to break that rule. Just fantastic. Wonder when it will go up for PO?

I think it was getting flooded already at SDCC time! There were an awful lot of exclusives up there for awhile. Considered that myself, but even though I love this Sonja herself more, I like the frost giant head/snow base more than the gutted snake, and realy like the first version as well. I realize I am probably in the minority on that though.
