thanks again and what can i use the true type advance version for ? i mean for what figures just to give me an idea. and has anyone ever swapped the body of the clone troopers?
You know the advanced kind of saddens me because I want to be able to use because it's great but there does not just seem to be anyone who could really benefit from it. Every time I use one for something it makes me angry because i know I'm "wasting" it on it. I've since used to for the bulky jackets of the Taxi Driver and T-1000 biker versions because it;s all I had around and I know it could have very well been a narrow.
The Advanced are a little buffer, proportions work well but the truth is that i's nearly as wide as the original wide shoulder TT and depending on the figure's outfit sometimes it feels you might as well be using that instead.
NARROW SHOULDER is the BEST TT in my opinion. Or at least the most versatile.
I have since only found one guy who the added thigh muscles made any sense for and that was my M Icons Marlon Brando from the Wild One and that's because Brando was always a tad pudgy and stocky.
I have like 4 or 5 sets of these and am scratching my head on what do do with them because they just look odd on anything, even the basic nude body especially when you look at it from the side it's just huge??
One great thing about the advanced is the SCULPTED FOREARMS which have already saved my life in bashing some WIP customs like John Marston from Red Dead Redemption, where his sleeves are rolled up at his elbows and his gloves covers his wrists. Case I'm point a perfect use for them sculpted forearms and the build of the advanced is just perfect for the character. So far the ONE guy I've felt benefited from the body.
The truth is this... you should try and keep your ratio of anticipated bodies "stocked" up for a rainy day so you're covered when you need one fora character with unique proportions.
Here's my ideal list of what i'd like to have on rotation.... Kind of is like this but It' hard to keep up with...
5X Narrow Shoulder TT
1X Original Wide shoulder TT
3 X Slim caucasian TT
3 X advanced Caucasian TT
1 X advanced African TT
1 X slim African TT
1 X Comedian/Wolverine muscle body
1X Terminator T-800 body
2 X Goamon/Will turner sculpted neck/torso bodies
1 X Female TT caucasian
1 X Female TT caucasian Sarah connor (with rubber arms)
1 X female Cuban
If I always have that on Rotation I will always be covered. That's the perfect list for me...
And you should always keep stocked things like fat suits, seemless leg or arm sleeves if you have them, different kinds of necks and pegs, longer feet pegs to heighten figures etc.
Here's an eaxaple of some figures I've built using different types of bodies
Narrow Shoulder TT : V for Vendetta, Collateral Tom Cruise, Taxi Driver, AOTC Obi-Wan, Sin City Hartigan, Spock and Kirk (spock with long feet pegs to heighten)
Original Wide shoulder TT : various James Bond, War Zone Punisher
Advanced TT: John Marston, Tony Soprano with a fat suit, Morpheus (black)
Slim TT: Bones Mccoy (heightened), Jack Sparrow, Donnie Brasco, Leon the Professional (modded), AOTC Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian (black), Morgan Freeman se7en (black)
Female TT: Princess Lia AOTC (not completely happy, will try an Eva from Tirad)
Goamon/Turner/James Dean sculptd neck TT : Indiana Jones and Han Solo
