Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

I was going to say maybe smells... :lol or he's really smart and is tracking her footprints. Or maybe he's like the movie Nemesis or ORC Nemesis which is like the movie version.

Although the Umbrella Chronicles version was so bad... :lol

Ugh his stupid voice. He sounds like a robot in UC, and a fat guy in ORC.

Fat guy. :lol at least in the movie he sounded like the original game version.

They could expand the RPD... Since Jill only enters the police station only to find the lock pick. :lol I think it would be cool or somewhat interesting if in 2 or 3, if they decide to remake if you heard or saw Claire/Leon run by or them shooting at zombies. Maybe in 2 here Nemesis or something.

Also in ORC they expanded some of the levels in 3 like City Hall, Clock Tower, the park. With Outbreak they expanded the Hospital.

They did in Separate Ways, and you even saw Leon's model running by. There really are endless possibilities for this, and I'd welcome it.

He really does. With Nemesis tracking Jill, I'm not sure either. I imagine he has some way to track Jill via how Umbrella created him, perhaps a computer chip as you said Pliss. He does know who Jill and Brad were after all, and the other STARS members too. On the other hand, with how much of Raccoon City is really there (e.g. how much Jill can actually explore factoring in destruction, and blockades), combined with how unstoppable Nemesis really was, it wouldn't be too hard for him to just wander around, and somehow run into her.

Mr. X tracking everyone in RE2 though, I don't buy, he has far less mobility compared to Nemesis, and nothing like that rocket launcher.

I'll give the film that, it was a different voice but it was very reminiscent of the game version.

They must of showed it photographs, but why does it need to talk?

I always found it scary that it talked, and it has some Human level of intelligence. I find that very more terrifying than Ganado and Javo... something about it still being a animal/monster in it's mind comes across better.

Weigh in here:

Mr. X vs. Nemesis

Hard to say, since Mr. X was taller and his Super Tyrant form was way tougher than the T-002. I want to say Nemesis, but part of me wants to say Mr. X. Although, Nemesis has the edge in intelligence, durability and resilience.

Ever notice Nemesis looks taller in cutscenes than he does in the game?

I would welcome it, but we just found it takes place in different days. :lol Jill's in the Clock Tower during the events of 2.

I hope we get a better and more official canon map, since a lot of stuff is left up to interpretation... like where the **** is the chemical plant? It was part of the t-Virus getting leaked into the drinking water... and we have no idea where it is. It sure as hell ain't behind the RPD since City Hall is there.

Don't get me started on where the Marshaling Yard is :rotfl

I thought rats were the sole cause of spreading the t-virus throughout Raccoon City?

:lol Sherry mentioned that her parents worked at the chemical plant outside the city limits. So yeah it seems like it was located behind the RPD. :lol I hope they expand those areas in the remake. When you play as Sherry and Ada.

I talked about this over at THIA, and some guys mentioned this... it kinda seems plausible since that sewer water has to go somewhere and there was a water treatment plant... so I would assume it got into the drinking water. It isn't like those filters can fend off a mutagen of that magnitude.

If you read the files of the sewer workers, they were getting sick and they never mentioned anything about rats. Funny how you see no rats at all in RE2 though.

I kinda feel like the chemical plant's location should be more near the whole real sewer section where you meet Annette. They chopped down the tunnel to it, which would be miles long to about 50 feet :dunno

Yeah, and some didn't even mentioned bites... Just not feeling well. I know in the game the virus isn't air borne, the movies it was.

So it makes more sense if they were drinking water that was contaminated with the virus.

The layout in two doesn't make any sense. :lol In 3 the layout of the city isn't that bad.

Was it ever mentioned how the Mansion got infected by Marcus?

t-Virus never to my knowledge, was never airbourne. It might be like AIDS where it dies as soon as it hits the air.

All due to two different dev teams. It's like the team for RE3 didn't do nothing but look at the RPD section of the game and none of the street layout prior. Why is there a second truck fire, two blocks away from the RE2 truck?

Besides getting bit or scratch, is there any other way to get infected?

It was only mentioned that he leaked the T-Virus through out the mansion. Maybe it's airborne? :dunno

IIRC, it's been many years... but in the S.D. Perry novel, I think Rebecca mentioned it was airbourne initially but then later petered out. Whether that's canon or not is up for debate, but some of that series's plot points spilled into the main series (George Trevor and Spencer I believe came from those books)

Hard to say how Marcus did it, but however he did it, the "Keeper's Diary" states they knew when it happened and he was told to wear a containment suit.

Oh yeah, Nemesis is indeed intelligent but being able to speak just shows how threatening it truly can be. No other B.O.W. could do that!

I did sorta notice the height difference, probably was limitations with the PS1 at times maybe.

But look how tall the T-002 was, he was what... 9 feet tall?
