Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

But look how tall the T-002 was, he was what... 9 feet tall?

I'm not sure if Mr. X was around that height...maybe? I can't tell, the camera angles make it misleading it a bit :lol

With the virus...I dunno, I'd imagine the rats probably were dead by that point though. Either that, or if I recall, they grew in size, and took to the streets. Leon, Claire and Jill just happened to never encounter them I guess. I imagine the virus did indeed get into the water and then infected everyone from there. Going by that, it would make sense how Annette and Sherry didn't get infected at all, because Annette knew the rats were the carriers and were in the sewers, so she knew not to have anything to do with the water and warned Sherry as well. Irons, maybe he got wind of it too?

Mansion, didn't some files say there was an outbreak (virus spilling out etc.) in the labs and it spread through out? Some workers had to wear the coats to avoid it. I don't buy Marcus having anything to do with it, again, there's not enough information to go by and more importantly, there's a ton of distance to cover. I also don't take the novels as canon, I could buy it being partly airborne though. Considering how Rockfort Island got infected after all.

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

IIRC, it's been many years... but in the S.D. Perry novel, I think Rebecca mentioned it was airbourne initially but then later petered out. Whether that's canon or not is up for debate, but some of that series's plot points spilled into the main series (George Trevor and Spencer I believe came from those books)

Hard to say how Marcus did it, but however he did it, the "Keeper's Diary" states they knew when it happened and he was told to wear a containment suit.

So it probably was airborne.

Or the graveyard zombies in 3 and code Veronica.

I don't know where I remember it from, but I think it's due to them not embalming those bodies and the blood within them was able to be mutated. The bodies in RE3 were probably hurriedly buried during the beginning of the outbreak.

I think it was mentioned that they were buried recently. CV I only wonder if they've been there for some time.

Well, during the Raccoon City incident the dead factory was been used to dispose of the dead bodies. Even before the initial outbreak in the city the underground lab was sending infected bodies to be disposed there.

"The amount of waste from the Raccoon City Underground Laboratory proved to be too great for the facility, which was already processing far above the safe levels of contaminants, causing the potency of the chemicals to decrease.

By June 29, three months before a second outbreak would destroy the nearby community of Raccoon City, workers processing the contaminants were infected with the virus."

Also,

"A number of residents were infected with the virus and collapsed into comas; mistaken for dead, they later rose from their graves on October 1, 1998."

From RE Wikipedia page:

"This outbreak, unlike other t-viral outbreaks was not caused by the Umbrella Corporation, but by the Organization when the latter sent a team of special forces under the command of ex-Umbrella employee Albert Wesker to attack the island with the objective of locating and capturing Alexia Ashford and/or a sample of her experimental T-Veronica virus, these special forces bombed the island apparently hitting a laboratory containing t-Virus vials, which consequently broke thus releasing the "plague" on the island."

"The virus also reanimated corpse in the small graveyard outiside of the prison."

So at this point I'm sure the virus is airborne. Also I could see the rats biting/scratching civilians in Raccoon City.

I'm surprised that Capcom didn't include rats to kill. Parasite Eve had them.

SD Perry didn't invent George Trevor or Spencer and isn't canon in the least. Trevor was always planned to be in the original ps1 game via documents you find but was scrapped.

Ahh right. I recall Wesker confirmed in-game that he attacked the island too, I know his men were infected. Maybe the virus is air borne to an extent. How did Rodrigo not get infected, though?

Also yeah, I can see the rats biting people, the viruses have increased aggression in creatures too.

There's also inconsistencies in the novels too, so yeah, not canon. Also I heard Rebecca is in a lot of the novels, so there's that.

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

What are your names on thia?

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

Not quite related to the REmake, but this is interesting on Mr. X, there's a little on Nemesis as well

Good narration by D.C. Douglas though :lecture

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

This is from last week, I completely **** the bed with my final time. Honestly, I don't think I've ever beaten it quickly, but there's guys out there that do it under an hour.

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

Worse than me. Lol!

Re2 impossible under an hour. Re1 is though.

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

I never played RE3 for speed, plus I watched a lot of cutscenes.

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

Oops. Why did I look at your ending scene and think re2 lol.

Re3 can be done under an hour or close too.
Re2 couple minutes past an hour
Re1 should be a 45 minute run

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

I pick up absolutely everything so I never get anything close to a speed run time. Although I did get some pretty fast times in REmake Remaster.

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

Here's what I clocked recently on RE2, but wasn't speed running... I feel that takes all the fun out of it.

I'm just happy with the ranks I got. I never use First Aid Sprays anymore, since it hurts your rank.

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

Not sure why First Aid Sprays hurt the rank, Red + Green herbs are the same thing and more plentiful I think, though in RE3, there's a crap load of them due to the three packs.

RE3 seems like it'd be the hardest of the first three games to do under an hour, with Nemesis and RNG along with the choices. RE1 and 2 are pretty simple, and fun to speed run but I prefer doing the games normally with picking up everything.

Re: Resident Evil 2 (Remake officially confirmed) WE DO IT!

I've been itching to play RE4. Weird right?
