Yeah, I just look at them separately and enjoy them accordingly

My number one video game/s is Resident Evil

My number one Movie is not Resident Evil...not even close...

I wouldn't mind so much if they weren't called Resident Evil or had the game characters. That why I can actually enjoy the fisrt movie to some extent because the lack of game character. But when I see my favorite VG characters like Jill and Nemesis being butchered on screen I can't get past it. RE: Apocalypse I can stomach untill the end when Nemi becoms the hero. Then I just cant stand the movie. RE3 if it did not have any of the game characters, I probably could have enjoyed it cause I really did like the apocalyptic atmosphere the movie had (and as much as I hate to admit, Alice's costume in that movie was kinda cool). Negativity aside, I'll still probably end up seeing this eventually anyways but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna stop hating on the previous 2 movies

Not to mention he got his head blown of and dumped into a vat of sewage, set on fire and shot God know how many times before the end of the game. But dying by getting hit with a propeller is just insulting. Game Nemesis would pwn movie Nemesis x10,000 over. Not to mention I'm still irritated how short he was in the movie even with 4" heels.

I agree though Weskers outfit does look cool. Still can't get past the face though but whatever. Anyone got some good pics of the Executioner?

Dude had a helicopter fall right on him . Seriously ? Nemiesis got acid poured on him and was shot billion's of time's. A supersoldier securityguard jedi / mary sue who nobody cares about and who isnt in the game's wouldn't stand a chance agaist him. Jill on the other hand had a nuke waiting for him lol.

What about Jason Isaacs??? I reckon he'd make a good Wesker...he was already in the film as Dr Isaacs, but it was just a cameo in the first film...you can't even tell it's him because he's wearing a surgeon's mask...

I agree he would. But he may be too "big" for these films now. I understand he is friends with Anderson though, from filming on Event Horizon. Alas we shall never know now....unless they reboot and cast him.

If they reboot, I hope they stick with the game plots more closely...no more Alice...we need a proper Resident Evil movie...

I kinda hope they don't reboot the series. It might end up turning out worse than the current ones. But if they do reboot, no non game characters (aka Alice) as the lead, keep the overall story from the games, keep the tone creepy and tense, not pure sci-fi action, no changing the background or appearences of game characters (like Nickolai being a good guy in Apocalypse or Carlos being a 40 something Middle Eastern guy) and most importantly KEEP PAUL WS ANDERSON FAR AWAY FROM THIS. This goes double for Uwe Bol.

Just wait for 20 yrs or so and then reboot it. Make jill the main character trying to escape the mansion in the first movie. Second movie Have jill escape racoon city with the nemesis chasing her. And this time make him a bad ass. Number 3 will follow claire and leon trying to escape the city. Imo opnion this would please the fans.

I think that's why I'm looking forward to it. In the back of my head I know it will probably be rubbish. but meh I get excited for anything Resident Evil.

I rented all 3 today for kicks - at 90 min each, they go quick. Finished watching first 2......will be curious if part 3 fits in with the ending of 2 at all.....

And regardless if part 4 is good or not, its should look great. 2nd movie to be shot in true 3d, so I am curious about that.

I'm watching the first one right now, It's almost over. Then I will continue with the next 2. The 3rd one is a pretty big shift from the 2nd.

The 3D camera business sounds cool too. I like that they actually did it with the 3D camera instead of the post production rubbish.
