haven't seen it yet. I agree in some instances that this movie is an example of what's wrong with movies today...But this is the 4th movie in the franchise. as the snake said to the dying girl, you knew what I was when you took me in.

I actually enjoyed the 3rd one while 2nd one was unbearable for me. But remember, horror and sci-fi movies are famously created to jump on the bandwagon of a popular theme. This isn't only a current trend, nor is it the first time 3d has been all the hype.

If you really have such a problem with this movie, don't see it. There will always be something worthy of pissing off fans.

The problem I have with these moves is the way they have portrayed my favoite video game characters. In all honesty if none of the game character were in these movies I'd probably enjoye them alot better. I can actually enjoy the first one because none of the game characters were in it (except the Licker and zombies) and when I think of it as a movie that just happens to be called Resident Evil but is not releated to the games.

Well now you know how all the batman fans felt throughout the entirety of the 90's.

Lets not talk about those times...:monkey2 But Batman Returns was good. :lecture I still think this movie was pretty good even with it not following close to the games. For what it was imo it was good.

WHat plot development, :dunno. She goes in shoots things and they shoot 3d bullets at the screen the end lol.

Your sarcasm detector seems broken.

I think the lack of Batman nipples detracts from this movie's overall score

Really one of the best portrayals of the Bat-verse period. IMO

Burton's were good, but Batman the Animated Series is the best by far. Albeit they have the Burton films to thank for allowing them to have a darker cartoon series. There is a reason Kevin Conroy is still the voice of Batman in so many things.

I'm going to be honest here and say that I haven't watched any of the RE films yet, but even I can see they are an abomination to the fans of the game. I mean, why create Alice when there are at least 4 main characters they could have chosen from? :dunno

The film needs to be rebooted and each film needs to be 1 of the games. Resident Evil 1 being the first obvious. Set it in the mansion, have zombies, hunters, some cheesey dialogue, Chris, Jill, Barry, and most importantly Wesker. And then have Resident Evil 0 a CGI Prequel move that comes out the same week/month as the live action film and feature the voice of anyone that will be in the live action film as well as already have casted William Birkin for RE 2. Its not rocket science, just biological warfare :cuckoo:

Just to clarify I was talking about the animated series.

Well...I don't think the movies are an abomination (Okay maybe the third one :lol). But I recognize that they are a far cry of what a Resident Evil movie should be. Resident Evil deserves better. However I still find things to like about em. It's just my way.

Like I've said before; Resident Evil (games) is my favorite game series/fictional universe/franchise of all time

The Resident Evil movies....are not....

I was hoping this was going to be the last Anderson Resident Evil film though...but it doesn't seem that way anymore. :(

Saw it today.

You know that feeling you get when you eat too much junk food and you feel bad about it? That's how I felt after watching RE: Afterlife. I rarely eat junk food, but I watch quite a few bad movies. Same effect, I think.

Decent action, passable 3D, enjoyed seeing Milla again, everything else was awful (especially the guy who played Wesker.).

Do yourself a favor a stay far away from RE: Apocalypse and especially Extiction. Still haven't seen AL so I don't have an opinion but I can say from what I have heard, I'm not impressed.

I really do hope the series get a reboot. Even just some CGI movies like Regeneration would be acceptable.

Yeah, I'd say if you feel the need to watch any just watch the first one and pretend the others don't exist.

Buttmunch, definitely check out Resident Evil Degeneration. It's based in the game universe and involves Leon and Claire. It's good.

that's the wrong way to approach films. i always give a movie the benefit of the doubt before watching it. for the record, i am a big fan of the games, and i liked the first re movie, was kinda ok with the 2nd, hated the 3rd. so i was hoping the 4th would be closer to the 1st film. so the point about "knowing what you're getting into" doesn't factor in, because there could be the off-chance that the movie is good. i never go in with a pre-conceived "problem" with a movie. that's for trolls and haters.

plus, the screening i went for was a free preview so i had no money to lose. :D

Your IQ is showing.

Well whatever, the movie's are nothing like the games imo and thats that.:) If you want a real resident evil movie, then resident evil degeneration the way to go. Not being a hater or anything. But if alice wasnt in these movie's it would be alot better.

I try not to be a hater and I really want to like the movies and I've given all the RE movies a chance and I'll give AL a chance too but I just can't stand Apocalypse and Extintion. Apocalypse could have been passible if it wasn't for Nemesis saving the day but that right there just killed the movie completely for me. RE Extinction has almost no redeeming quality about it though. None of the game characters except Wesker look even remotly like their game counterparts. The talking Tyrant with Force powers was an utter abomination and didn't even look like a Tyrant imo. Maybe if Ali Larter sported a whipped cream bikini and Milla had another "**** shot" I'd give it a higher rating but the damn movie didn't even have that. The only good thing about that Extinction was I gotta confess, I really dug Alice's outfit in the movie but thats about it.

Meh sorry for yet another rant on my distaste about the RE movies, I just get so sickend about how badly my favorite VG character's are treated in these films.
