The IGN U.S. review claims 10-12 hours first playthrough. RE5 is built for multiple playthroughs and even more so if you consider Mercenaries.

I've dropped $60 for shorter games (say hello, Prince of Persia's 7 hours), I don't have any problem with RE5's playtime as long as it's a complete experience.

I'm not really playing the game to beat it as quickly as possible. I played RE4, the first playthrough, it was about 20 hours to me. But I explored every possible sector of the game and really just enjoyed it. When IGN claims a certain amount of time to beat a game, they mean not doing any extras and not deviating from the crux of the game. I'm sure if you don't just do that, hours will add on to the game.

I have never played a RE game in my life but this one looks pretty good. So are they good fun?:D

its one of the best series of games out there, you can't go wrong with an RE title, and this one looks to be better than previous RE games.

Agreed. RE5 hopes to destroy all that by introducing this guy:

Meet Ricardo Irving, the goofiest character in any Resident Evil game, ever, apparently.

At least he's a bad guy.

Just gives you another reason to kill the guy.

:lol

i also wish the game came out on tuesday this wait is killing me softly lol
