MAJOR SPOILERS!!!
I just read that Wesker aperrently does indeed die in this one:monkey2 He gets knocked into a volcano but is still alive and grabs onto a helicoptot and gets blown up with a rocket launcher. Jill however lives apparently!

Oh definantly! The only thing I'm worried about is this may be Wesker's last appearence in an RE game :monkey2 Not sure though.

Weskers last appearance? from watching the video...you cant even hit him...

gonna be interesting

I ve had the game since yesterday and it s amazing so far.
Played through chapter 2-1. Sheva s AI has improved a LOT!

never...he'll find a way to weasel out of death. maybe he clones himself or something.

Yeah. After finding out in UC that Sergei Vladimir had the genetic make-up needed to produce a Tyrant, so he cloned himself and used the clones as templates I thought it was only a matter of time before Wesker did something similar.

i still remember years ago when i was playing Code Veronica and Wesker pops out i was like "WTF??? i'm screwed, that guy never dies."

I never got to Wesker, but I've heard a bit about that fight.. I stopped around where Chris fights the underwater monster back at the military base [disc 2].

RECV the only one of two Resident Evil games I haven't completed :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

The more I think about and play the demo the less I like it. It just feels like too much of a departure from the original concepts. RE4 had the idea taking a step in the right direction fixing control schemes, but it seems RE5 takes 3 steps back. Instead of changing the control scheme for a better experience they change the gameplay completely, while RE4 stuck to some conventions of the series.

RE was always about me being alone in a creepy, dark place, and hearing something creepy up on me. It was that sense of dredd, fear, and anxiety of being completely alone in an unknown place. RE5 is too action focused and not horror survival. The addition of a partner takes away that feeling of you being all alone, now it's not as scary, now you have backup. It taking place in the daytime in Africa...there's nothing scary about this demo at all.

Sure you run from the chainsaw maniac but I mean once he gets you, your like oh well...you don't freak out as much as you would say when zombie dogs jump throw windows at you.

I dunno, I just dunno anymore RE. I want my old RE back.

CVX was the hardest and most awkward of the RE games in terms of controles imho. It took nearly an entire clip of handgun ammo to down a single zombie and it was a pain to run around them. I also hated figting the Tyrant on the plane.

the whole entire game (and bosses) is on youtube....looks insane!

This game isn't scary at all, but it looks really good, so that's why it's great.

It's really short though--It seems that the good graphics in games are becoming a problem because it takes so much more work to make the content they can't make the games as long as they used to.

After playing this game the controls aren't as bad as I thought, but it's so much an action game that it makes no sense to have it like it is. Plus the inventory is really retarded.

They shouldn't even call it RE, it's such a departure. Thankgod the series is getting a rehaul after this one, it needs it.

Yeah, there's no suspense or anything like that, it's pure action. Other than this I've only played the remade gamecube version of RE1, and that freaked me out--I remember at the beginning walking down the hallway and then the camera angle didn't change and the character walks back slowly back into view as a zombie is moving towards her--that was scary.

Yea that was by far the scariest RE game, the remake made it amazing.

RE Remake in terms of story and overall creepyness is my favorite of the RE games. In terms of gameplay and my overall favorite so far is 4.

I can totally understand the complaints about 4 however and even I must admit the game wasn't as creepy an previous installments (especally after you leave the village) and I'll even admit at times it felt more like a action game especially once you got to the island. Personally I blame the movies. The RE movies are just action movies with zombies imo and it seems ever since the movie came out, thats when the games became more action oriented rather than survival horror.
