Part 4 is the only one that can really be compared to this one. The others had set camera angles and much different controls. They were still incredible though, especially in their time. My favorite is still the RE remake for the Gamecube.

Me too! As I've said having never played a RE game I'm really lookin forward to this one based off how cool the Demo was.

Josh, you should go here and view all 5 of the retrospectives. It pretty much brings you up to date with the going-ons in RE. There is one more released tomorrow.

Hell yes, I loved the RE1 remake, I still have hopes that they'll go back and redo 2 and 4. Oh and Zero was awesome too, it was the first RE game that you had to control two characters.

My friends and I finished doing speed runs of RE 1, 2, 3, and Code Veronica last night (which we started last Sunday). Morale is low, we don't want to go on with our marathon. We still have the spin off games to go through.

My friends and I finished doing speed runs of RE 1, 2, 3, and Code Veronica last night (which we started last Sunday). Morale is low, we don't want to go on with our marathon. We still have the spin off games to go through.

why is morale low?

I actually just found my old, original ps1 copy of Resident Evil in my basement (the one in the huge plastic case) and I'm about to go play it. ^_^

Same, here, I loved RE1 and Zero. Since they did so well with the RE1 remake I would ALLOW them to remake RE 2, my all time favorite. ASLONG as they remade it like they did RE1 and not adapt it to the new model of RE4.

What you don't want to go on? RE 2 is one of the few games I could play OVER and OVER and OVER again. Such a great game. The only spin off game I have yet to play I think is the second one in the original survivor series.

I think we're just burned out. It's only 3 of us and there's such a thing as too much Resident Evil. We don't want to continue because we'll have to play through RE: Outbreak (1 and 2), Survivor and Dead Aim. Ugh, those games are not good.

Unfortunately I don't think Survivor 2 came out in USA. Dead Aim rules though, it reminds me of the movie Ghost Ship (which kicks ass) but Dead Aim is AWESOME when you play with 2 people. Plug in a mouse to your ps2 and one person does all of the shooting while the other does all of the running around. It is soo much fun co-oping it.

Naw, just do the main canon games. RE1, RE2, RE3, RE:CV, RE4.....you pretty much need these.
