Both the movies and games have: bad acting, bad story lines[ started good, then both series just got bad] plot holes, over-the-top-action, they both have a Mary Sue, they both copy each other. Many other things.

I think a reboot would be incredibly stupid, that won't change anything... that won't change the fact that they started to suck at making videogames. They need to make a survival horror and thats it.

They are making a big deal out of everything capcom should shut up and make a good game...

The whole manipulating the fire from the flame thrower on the truck to engulf the crows was a nod to the fire during the Alexia/Wesker battle. The whole Alice being able to see in to the umbrella satalite and destroy the chip was homage to alexia watching Steve and Claire in the truck and the whole search for arcadia being an antartic kind of location was partially code veronica influenced and that Paul Anderson had just done AVP

People who hate the movies, love the games should be informed enough to know where alot of the elements in the movies come from. Other wise their arguments arent worth reading when they try to play the whole " games are nothing like the movies card ".

The first Re movie is actually a decent horror movie. Re Apoco isnt that good, but its an instance where it borrowes heavily from Re 3. Re extinction is actually a really good zombie flick and arguably the best of the series. Afterlife is ok. Nice eye candy. Retribution is soooo bad.

Yeah I got all the little nods to CV in Extinction. Doesn't change how I feel about the movies (Extinction especially since it was my least favorite in the series). Still and I've said it before I can shut my mind off and actually enjoy the first RE movie. I enjoyed Apocalypse until the end when Nemesis became the hero of the day (I understand why they did that cause Nemesis was Matt from the RE1 movie but I still thought it was lame). Extinction is the worst one in the series for me. I actually liked Alice's design and the whole post-apocalyptic desert wasteland setting (reminded me of Road Warrior and the like) but Alice was way overpowered in that one and the talking Tyrant was just silly (yeah I know there was a talking transvestite Tyrant in Dead Aim but that was equally as lame imo, though I did enjoy DA). I enjoyed the scenes with Wesker and the Executioner in Afterlife and Jill's cameo at the end but that was it. Retribution was lame but the fight with the 2 Executioners was cool (though it would have been better if one of them had been the Red Executioner from the Prison stage in RE5) and the fight with Jill and Alice was cool to watch plus it had Barry which alone kicks it up a few points. However making Wesker want to "save" humanity really left me scratching my head since that is the exact opposite of what he wanted to do in the games. Like I said though while I dislike most of the movies and I know I'm gonna dislike them but I still end up watching them because whether I like it or not, they are still part of the REverse. See I'm that dedicated to the franchise as a whole that I'll sit through the crappy movies (plus I enjoy mocking the movies as well )

Btw RE6 is still better than any of the movies

Wesker's whole motives in the game was to "save" the world by destroying humanity and letting those who's genes were strong enough to adapt to Uroboros live. Having Wesker want to save humanity in the movies even if he is still a villain is ludacris to me but then again Nemesis became the savior in Apocalypse so I guess I shouldn't be surprised when arguably RE's 2 greatest villains become "good guys" in the film..

I don't mind when movies based on games take some creative liberties to with the story or characters to help adapt them on the big screen but when they change the characters or story around as much as they have in the RE movies like having no mention of Chris or Barry being members of STARS, making a non game character the main character etc makes me scratch my head a bit.

While I may question Anderson's ability to make a faithful RE movie, there is definitely no question he has excellent taste in women. Sienna, Ali, the chick who played Ada and of course Milla

Capcom just needs to refine the gameplay to be a more focused experience instead of the disjointed mess that was RE6. Not reboot the whole franchise...

I don't care if they took things from each other the fact is that the movies are awful inconsistent pieces of garbage that are up there with transformers. The fact that milla thinks she played a big part in the franchise is funny since she sort of did and it shows in re6 but there's a reason why they won't put her *** in the games and that's Becuase they know fans wouldn't buy it and people who don't know **** about re watch the movies(except for some people). All in all re is in a dire need of saving. Get rid of the stupid movies and can the cod wannabe crap.

The movies make money which Capcom wants.

I don't need Alice to be in games, as long as I can play as Jill or Claire.

Capcom just needs to get it together! Make a clean and polish game. Not involve so many characters and story lines to make one... 6 is just all over the place. Unfocused and just a disaster! The game and movies are in a different universe. The movies are based on a video game and the game is based on other video games mainly shooter games.
